Dr. Hein is absolutely amazing! Over the weekend, during a family reunion water balloon fight my brother-in-law was hit in the face. It does not sound like anything serious, but due to the impact, he had blood pooling in his eye and was unable to see anything out of his left eye. The reunion was in Indiana and we were looking to get him evaluated as soon as possible by a specialist to make sure he got proper treatment. Dr. Hein answered my call right away Saturday night, and when I explained the situation to him along with what the Indiana ER said, he immediately gave me some advice. When I asked if he would be available for an appointment on Sunday, he did not hesitate. We were able to get my brother-in-law to Illinois Sunday morning to see Dr. Hein. I was already impressed by Dr. Hein when I spoke to him Saturday night, but to hear him thoroughly explain the injury and how to treat it, in an easy to understand way, was really helpful. The whole situation was really scary and I'm so thankful that my brother-in-law was treated by Dr. Hein. My brother-in-law needed to get back to Arizona as soon as possible to return to work. Dr. Hein assured us that he would be safe to travel and provided all the necessary medication and even gave a local AZ eye doctor recommendation. I heard from Dr. Hein Monday morning asking me how my brother-in-law was doing. Even knowing that my brother-in-law would not be a regular patient for treatment, Dr. Hein still followed up with our family! I personally have never had an eye exam, but I assure you, I will send anyone I know to Dr. Hein and personally use him for my first eye exam!
