Shamblott Family Dentistry - St. Paul's Online Review Report Card

I'm so happy I found Shamblott Family Dentistry. I have a dental phobia, and the staff there are so sweet and kind and make everything as painless as possible. They work really hard to meet you where you're at and to provide accommodations to make your experience as gentle as possible. I highly recommend them.

Staff were very informative about how the procedure would go.

Very comforting and reassuring throughout the process. It had been a long time since I'd been to the dentist and even though i knew things weren't great they were very gentle about what was needed. Also talked about my care plan from the perspective of what i could afford, which was reassuring

On Time, very friendly staffs. I always have dental phobia, and the experience with the hygienist was so incredibly great. She listened to my concerns and for my teeth condition without the numbing gel that could be really painful but she went gentle and the numbing gel helped so much! its soooo much lessssss painful, very minor! Also they have a few other different methods to ease your anxiety, and they understand your fear and try to ease your fear! I will definitely have less fear coming back for my regular check up! thank you again!

Very helpful staff, hygienists, and dentist 🦷

Had 2 root canals, prep a couple other teeth for crowns. Had a good deal of discomfort as the novacaine wore off early evening. Something light to eat, took my meds, slept well. Doing, feeling 100 % better this morning. Dr. Henson and staff took good care of me. Have a couple more appts to be caught up.

Everyone was very professional and personable. The only issue I encountered was that my situation was more complicated than expected and took more time/work. Please keep in mind that some patients do not have a mouth as large as average. My jaw was cramping up by 3/4 of the way through the procedure and I had to find my lip balm immediately to prevent my lower lip from cracking. It might be helpful to obtain a bite rest for smaller people for the future.

I've been a patient at the Hopkins office for a couple years and never had a problem. However, I booked an appointment online for the St Paul location and two weeks later on a Friday afternoon they call to tell me a note from an MD was needed for my Monday appointment. They had two weeks to tell me this.

I hate going to the dentist! I was so nervous even though I have been here before. Both the assistant and the dentist helped me feel safe and comfortable. I have a really hard time with metal tools, but for my exam they were able to offer plastic ones!! What a difference that made. I’m still not a fan of the dentist, but I would absolutely recommend Shamblott Family Dentistry!!

I went here for an establishing appointment here since they advertised they specialize in working with people with anxiety about the dentist/high oral sensitivity etc. Unfortunately they seem to be capitalizing off of people who are already scared of going to the dentist. Receptionists were awesome but the actual doctors were short and a bit condescending and judgemental. They concluded the appointment by telling me I had 7 cavities that all needed to be filled. I've since went elsewhere for another opinion to a place I was recommended and turns out I have 3. Wouldn't trust this place or recommend to anyone ever.
