List of Bluestone Physician Services's Reviews
Bluestone has done an amazing job for my mother in memory care. Communication with her Dr and his staff is excellent. If i have concerns and place on portal I typically get a response same day (dependent on time of day i posted and day of week). I have zero complaints. It has been a relief not to have to schedule appointments outside the facility and to get great care when Alzheimer’s is a stressful enough situation for mom and myself.
I work in a long-term care pharmacy and Bluestone is literally the worst at getting back to us about anything. They take weeks to get back to us on very simple clarifications. I've literally only spoken to a human other than the receptionist twice in the hundreds of times I have called them. Patients are suffering at this point.
My mother is at a nursing home in Burnsville that is covered by bluestone and they are the absolute worst. My mother is in extreme pain and after she was seen by them they took 2 weeks to put in a medical referral to get a test or see a specialist (not get an appointment just to get the OK to make the appointment) TWO WEEKS to put a referral in. She sat in extreme pain with minimal pain meds. The first time I asked them what took so long to fax in a piece of paper in and they said COVID. I called them twice and left messages they never called back. I hope I never have to deal with these people again. Update: after getting her to a real doctor’s office, it was discovered she had fractures in her spine. She sat in extreme pain for weeks with fractures. We dropped them immediately.
I have zero interest in receiving anything from this service. Thanks. I did not request any services from them either. Recieved a random letter from them. I live well outside of the service area as well. Makes no sense. And I am am not in assisted living or a group home.
They literally almost killed my mother and are now refusing to call any of us, even though the nursing home staff where my mom stays was calling them through this whole debacle. A nurse from Bluestone ended my mom's meds without consulting our family. When my mom started losing massive amounts of weight (25 lbs in 4 weeks) and not eating and becoming more and more confused, they did nothing. Now they won't call us and explain why this happened. Look me up on YouTube, I'm posting a video about it. It'll be up in about 10 minutes.
A fantastic service for anyone in Assisted Living and memory care. Great follow through and a wonderful platform to interact with your provider.
I have been so impressed by Bluestone and the providers who are caring for my dad in assisted living and memory care. Dr. O'Gara went above and beyond to provide excellent care to my dad and also supporting me. I would recommend Bluestone to anyone living in assisted living/memory care. The "Bridge" which allows family/patients to access communication amongst providers is so helpful and works well.
I hope this is the right place to post this. Because of my experience I give you 5 stars & I can't remember giving any company 5 stars ever,! I have a coordinator, that comes to me by the name of Diane Marsh, she is a super delightful person & a God send to me. I truly don't know what I would have done without her. Your company should be proud of hiring such a helpful person, she goes over & above the call of her job , in my opinion Thank you. Dianelongfield
Bluestone is a corporation more interested in selling services thean providing them. if you can get past voicemails and advertising web site, there is some value to their services, but you will have to work for it.
My father was always very picky about his doctors. He preferred to see the same doctors as long as they practiced, and was generally nervous about new doctors seeing him. I was worried he might have trust issues or fears about his new doctor when he moved into Memory Care, during the pandemic too, and I was told he would need to switch to Bluestone. I had my own worries, I didn't know what to expect from this group. My concerns disappeared quickly. He really liked his Bluestone doctor, and so did I. The entire team was very communicative and responsive with their messaging system (though their website definitely could use a visual and more user friendly revamp). When a shady Transitional Care Unit was trying to force a move on my father without any medical justification, his Bluestone team stepped up immediately when I asked for their help in making the case that the transition was not only unnecessary but would also be a detriment to his mental well-being. I had an open line of communication with not only his doctor, but every single person involved in his care. They made referrals promptly and when he needed a service that was not provided by Bluestone, they were always agreeable in referring him to one of his previous providers (he had many specialists he needed) and setting up the appointments. The visits and all testing were frequent and they communicated very well with his Memory Care facility's head nurse, I was always kept up to date and when he needed something extra (like Physical Therapy) they were quick to recognize it and set it up. My Dad and I really felt a lot of trust with not only with his Primary Care Provider but the entire team there, from nurses to aides to PT/OT. I wonder if some of the other reviews here were influenced by negative experiences with the specific Senior Living locations their loved ones were in, because I had nothing but positive interactions with Bluestone itself. They went above and beyond, responded to my messages same day, and were always interested in my input/concerns and keeping me up to date. I had a very negative experience with the specific place my Dad was living, and I certainly understand that emotions run high in these tough situations because we want the very best for our loved ones, but as far as Bluestone goes - I think they do an excellent job. If a Senior Living Community is not up to par - it's not Bluestone's fault. The head nurse of any Senior Living Community is a big player in your loved one's care, too, so it's possible they were the issue and not these guys. Providers rely on the nurses in the communities they work with to practice good communication. Bluestone and the head Nurse at my father's community were always in close contact, and both would reach out to me, that line of communication between everyone involved is really important. The old saying goes "you get what you put in" - I chose to be very communicative with the team and they were equally responsive and always addressed my concerns. Honestly, they did a better job than a lot of his previous providers pre-memory care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
