Dr Vancil misdiagnosed my foot problem calling it a neuroma and administered several cortisone injections over 3 years. I finally went to a foot surgeon and found out the problem was a plantar plate tear. I'm so glad I didn't have the neuroma surgery as that would have been a failure. Please get a 2nd opinion before you do any surgical procedure with Dr Vancil

I had a soft release done by Dr Vancil. He absolutely ruined my foot. If you are thinking of having it done by him..run..to someone who knows what they are doing. I have been to two surgeons since and none can correct what he had done to my foot.

I've had flat feet for years and was finally fed up with pain and orthotics. Dr. Vancil used a Hydrocure screw and now I have an arch again! Right foot is up next. Dr. Vancil took the time to explain everything and he and his staff are really friendly...recommend to anyone!

Terrible surgical results. Claimed he could correct my feet 85%. When I’ve gone in for post op appointments it seems like he’s trying to convince me and him that my feet are corrected 85%. They are corrected about 25%..... maybe. Huge disappointment When I asked why he put a small implant in instead of a big one; he responded “it was hard to split your bone open”. Based on that response he did not give my surgery any effort. I couldn’t believe he actually admitted that.

Two out of four surgeries were disappointing. One procedure was way under corrected; and when asked why, he said “it’s hard to split that bone open.” That sounded like a terrible excuse to me.

Two out of five surgical procedures turned out bad. One of the five successful procedures was fixing the first bad one at my cost of course. Didn’t seem like he gave surgery much effort.
