I was referred to Dr Shobe for consultation regarding possible neck injury and degeneration. I had short waits in lobby and in treatment room. He was professional and personable. He learned enough about me to treat me as a person. His evaluation seemed thorough, his explanations of causes for my pain and numbness were reasonable and clear. He interacted with me around my questions, I.e., what might happen if I have no more interventions? What is the likely outcomes or consequences of various interventions? He was receptive to my involvement in planning options and in choices around the injection in my neck. He seemed to read my hesitation about intervention as something and followed it up with, “ if you are interested in a second opinion, I don’t have any problems with that.” He even indicated that if I wanted to see the surgeon who did my back surgery 12 years ago that he believes he is still practicing in the cities.I was quite pleased with his consultation and style of interaction. Nice to experience a surgeon/ specialist who is comfortable in their own skin.

I had seen Dr Shobe 21 years ago. He is a kind and caring person. He listens to you before he says anything. He had fixed me before I have confidence he will do it again.
