Billing department is unhinged.

The billing department doesn't seem to work in the health field with insurance. A year after surgery, I got a bill stating payment was late... when I had never received a previous bill and it was covered by insurance. They told me I don't exist in the insurance company's system. Alarmed, I contacted my insurance and they assured me that I was and am active and that if the billing department contacted them they could "walk them through the process." Their billing department is horrible. Had surgery a year ago and they still have yet to send the bill to the correct insurance department at the VA. I have talked to southdales billing department 7 times now, every time giving them the location to send the bill, and they still send it to the wrong location sonehow. People behind the phones are very rude and have no care in the world. Dealing with them is more painful than the surgery I had, should have just declined anesthesiology. Their billing department is a joke I had a workmanship comp injury that they never sent to the insurance agency despite me contacting them multiple times now I have a collections notice on my credit report.

Punch of crooks they don't care about patients. I have a payment plan with several providers for a surgery I had at Fairview they are the only ones who charge interest on balances. I don't even think this is legal but its unethical to say the least. Plus you have to agree to being charged interest when you sign a contract or agree to a service. The billing department is an absolute joke! I had my baby and used their anesthesiologist... all my Bill's were paid via insurance with in a month, but they refused to charge insurance and sent my $2000 bill to 2 different collections agencies. I sent them my insurance info on the bill they sent me and someone from the department actually wrote on the insurance info I sent it " this is your responsibility" with pen and sent it right back to me.. are you kidding me? So instead of sending it through to insurance and getting paid immeadiatly they will just send you the bill and refuse to do their job. The dr. The billing department from Southdale Anesthesiologists is sloppy and incorrect. When they bill you on July 17, 2017, then say you are "Balance over 90 days" on July 31, 2017 - there is something wrong.

These people have a nasty and careless billing department. They don't seem to pay attention to the fact that a successful high quality anesthesia group has to have a quality billing department as well. They may do adequate anesthesia work, but who on earth has absconded on the billing department quality? They did my Mom's cataract surgery anesthesia, and sent the bill to her and then collections even though I was diligent to file the information that I am her guardian and include all of the insurance billing. And worst of all, when I called to correct that and pay they were nasty nasty nasty. These doctors are not minding their own till. Who on earth would not recognize that something might be wrong when you don't bill Medicare for a 90yo woman? And then just have it go to a collections agency. Just lazy work and may reflect the overall quality of the business itself. These people have a nasty and careless billing department.
