Christopher S. Abercrombie's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Abercrombie is my primary care doc and has always been the most available medical professional I've ever worked with. Any question or concern I've ever sent to him has been replied to same-day, often times within minutes. If you need a primary care doc I can definitely recommend Dr. Abercrombie.

I was going to go here with insurance that they don't take unfortunately and told them I would pay out of pocket because I have been dealing with severe back pain for over 4 years instead of following up with me they decided to cancel my appointment, and cannot get in until the end of November now....seriously?

System was not working, he didn’t take notes, he didn’t ask any questions, he didn’t seem knowledgeable, I started sharing my health issues to what he responded with questions like “and why I think You feel that way” THATS what IM HERE FOR doctor! So you can run your tests and pour your knowledge over my health! He did not set any analysis nor follow ups… nothing. Not knowledgeable doctor at all. He then felt free to give psychological advice on my life choices and gave no feedback whatsoever on my physical health. Then he mentioned that it’s better to be in an opioid medication vs natural medicine! I mean one after the other. My jaw was dragging on the floor by the time I left his office. I’ll never return! I can’t believe I was charged for this!

He is a horrible doctor doesn’t care at all about his patients

every encounter that I have had with Dr. Abercrombie has been unpleasant. he's very rude, very abrupt and doesn't seem to really listen to the issues that warranted the visit. Every time he was asked a question he never seems to answer the question at all. He has no bedside manner and it makes visits so uncomfortable. He makes you not want to ask questions. We would much rather see Jenna, at least she has compassion for the patient and great bedside manner.

Dr. Abercrombie was medically fat phobic 3 times in less than 20 minutes. I am a 16 yr old girl who has been in recovery from anorexia for a year and I went in for an order for labs to check for thyroid issues which effect weight and he straight up told me I couldn’t have a certain issue that I have almost every symptom for because “those people are usually skinny”. He recommended a weight loss clinic, as well as diabetes testing (which i’ve had and i’m in the clear). He was rude and wouldn’t speak to me directly but instead asked my mother the questions. He was also medically negligent as I was finding it hard to breathe and I felt overheated and weak. He did nothing. If I could give 0/10 stars I would.

I’ve been seeing Dr. A for years and he’s very straightforward and easy to talk to which is what I look for in a dr. I’ve never had any problems and quite frankly I’m very surprised to see some of the negative reviews.

I had a medical issue so I contacted his office thru the MyMercy website, which is what their phone message told me to do. I was told to set up an e-visit, which I spent a couple hours doing because I couldn't get my insurance card uploaded and there was a giant form of questions. I waited TWO days for my e-visit and cancelled MY clients for the day so I would have no interruptions. They waited until the morning of the e-visit, deleted my appointment, called me and told me to go to the urgent care because they don't see patients that have symptoms and told me to come back to establish as a NEW patient AFTER the urgent care treats me. I could have gone to the urgent care TWO DAYS AGO. I should have been told TWO DAYS AGO. I would have been cured by now. They should have kept my e-visit, fixed my medical issue and then I could have come in after that. The office manager knew they were in the wrong and hung up on me. I will be filing a complaint with the AMA. I really like Dr. Abercrombie. Yes, he does kind of turn his back and type in the computer, but he LISTENS. He was the only doctor that was able to finally properly diagnose and treat me. Luckily, I don't have to go the the doctor very often, but when I do, I trust him to take great care of me.
