Dr. Colwick performed surgery on my breast tumor, studied the results and performed further surgery two weeks later. It turned out to be a good thing she did, as more of the tumor was found and removed, leaving clear margins.

Dr. Colwick is now in St. Louis, MO at Mercy Hospital & specializes in Breast Cancer surgery. She is A+ all the way: extremely experienced, compassionate, and skilled. Also a patient listener and "explainer". When I was diagnosed with breast cancer March 2019, I was anxious & frightened. Within minutes of our first meeting, her gentle manner and obvious proficiency reassured me. When I walked into the exam room, I immediately saw my multiple mammogram films set on x-ray light boxes so I could visualize everything. She pointed out the location and size of the cancer, which was very small, "the size of a blueberry". During her explanation, she kept asking if I had any questions. We discussed 5 different treatment options. She reiterated that I could call any time with my concerns. The surgery went perfectly, with minimum pain. At my first post-op visit, she explained the pathology report in layman's language. It's clear that her skills are psychological as well as medical.
