Horrible horrible place staff is so rude and disrespectful to patients. My mother was told multiple times they couldn’t help her do anything and left her to cry. I’ve never talked to anyone more disrespectful than the staff. Will be transferring my mother out of your horrible facility. Please do not send your loved ones here
Ivan came across as a very caring young man, making sure I had the proper poise and control over the vehicles I was using. I was very comfortable with him and feel he is a definite star to the group of therapists. However they all came across beautifully. The food seemed tasty and healthy but generally came across lukewarm to cold. Overall the staff was trained well, outgoing and warm.
Very pleasant experience . Our elderly mother enjoyed her stay while there and commented how friendly the nursing staff and how clean the facility was. She was well cared for and we will plan on using Ignite again for our future needs .
Mom was in Ignite for about six weeks. The care given by the staff from nursing to therapy and from housekeeping to the food service was terrific. Even though she was in there for various fractures from a fall, she said she couldn't have been at a better place. Thanks!!
If you’re looking for a place that your loved one or family member will receive no care then this the place for them. Meals are inconsistent and sometimes missed, showers are not given on scheduled days, scheduled haircuts are ignored, clothes are not changed (3 plus days), patients wait extensive amounts of time to even receive help using the bathroom. If this is top of the line care I would hate to see the bottom of the barrel. Do not be fooled by the new shiny great facility. It’s only about them getting money.Total Neglect!
My friends mother was in there and the nurses stolen her pain meds and give her something else thinking she’s stupid and not going to notice. Also they supposed to have all this therapy for you and they don’t use it to lazy. Also ignore her needs. Sure it’s new and looks good but don’t let that fool you.
I came here after a total hip replacement. My home has too many stairs and I live alone. This was a wonderful experience because of all the caring help I got here. I was here just over 2 weeks and got such good therapy. Jarred, Liz, Jane are some of the therapist that helped me get recovered enough that I walked out all on my own. I'm very grateful for my time here. Also want to mention Chef Andre, thanks for the good fresh salads and food.
My father was there after extensive surgery and needing rehab. The hospital sent him there. I will say the only thing good about the place was the PT and OT. The nursing staff maybe checked on him maybe once in a 12 hour shift. His meals were always late and he was missing have of what he ordered. Then once his insurance ran out he was sent home. Wad told that he had a wheelchair and home health set up. Guess what never got either one of those things. I wouldn't recommend the company for anyone to use
I enjoyed working with all of the people in the gym doing therapy. I had a very good experience here and will miss this place and it’s staff and residents here! Thank you for my pleasant time here. Also the food was good and had variable choices.
I was a patient take the good with the bad great place to be when you have a strokeGregory hill ex patient.
The employees at Ignite in Blue Springs took great care of my family member. The nurses, OT, PT, cafeteria and all support personnel were very engaged. This facility was had a very positive environment which is unlike other care facilities.
Today I will be released from a 2 week stay for medical rehabilitation. The staff here is wonderful. The therapy team is top notch, compassionate and encouraging. Emily, Megan, Josh, Nikki, Jane. Outstanding! The nurses are just as wonderful, Elizabeth, she is the most amazing nurse and she just always goes beyond what is expected. And where do I begin with their guest relations, MCKenna, she always has a smile and shows the most compassion for the guest. Housekeeping did a great job keeping the room clean and tidy. The meals were hot and fresh with many options. It was always something to look forward to with the daily entertainment/games. I highly recommend this resort and their care teams if you have a need for rehabilitation or long term care.
The staff ar Ignite Vlue Springs is incredible. Worth mentioning are:Kara from physical therapy was a godsend. She has the perfect combination of motivation and push to encourage anyone.Ivan was my introduction to the therapy staff and set the robe for the entire experience. Finally there was Josh who I didn't actually work with but who encouraged me just the sameSabrina is the rock star of occupational therapy. Her knowledge and experience helped me to reach and exceed my goals.I would also lik to mention Nick from the nursing staff. If you needed anything, just ash Bick
I have been at Ignite Medical Resorts since ~June 1st. Previously, I was a resident at a nearby assisted living residence.I have been generally pleased with my living situation. The room is a nice size and I am able to have a couple of my own pieces of furniture. I look out onto a small meadow where I see deer and occasionally I can hear an owl. I also get to see a train go by at least once a day and I really do enjoy that.Generally I like the staff. All around they are kind and professional. I appreciate all that they do to make me more comfortable and happy. There are a few that I would like to single out as they go beyond the norm. On the day crew, I would like to commend Marlene, who is thorough and does everything with a smile and a ‘can-do’ attitude. She has been more than good at her job—she is great! I have also observed her helping fellow staff and staying late to help.Makayla is also a good staff member and willing to do her best. She’s fairly new, but eager to learn and always has a smile. Devan has also proven to be an able caregiver. He shows compassion for those in his care and has a great attitude and sense of humor. Lindsey is a nurse and also helps her nursing care staff if they are in need (staffing). She is kind, efficient and professional. Martin is another nurse that I appreciate. On the night shift, I want to commend Dawn, Jennifer, and nurses Tim and Charity. Great caregivers!!The food choice and quality varies depending on who is ordering and preparing. Andre has been receptive to questions and concerns and is kind and personable when talking with him.All in all, I’m glad I’m at Ignite!
If I could rate 0 I would ! Horrible care for your loved ones! Might be a beautiful facility but they could care less about the patients!
I was very nervous when I brought my mom to Ignite Medical Resort Blue Springs because she's never been in a facility before. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff is friendly and attentive and the facility is clean. The food is amazing and we are grateful. Thank you Ignite Medical Resort Blue Springs. Mom is back home and doing well.
I was very impressed with Ignite Medical Resort Blue Springs. They really took the time to explain the details of this facility. They seem very passionate about what they do and offer the best experience for patients. I will continue to refer patients and professionals.
I am very grateful for Ignite Medical Resort Blue Springs. My mother is 96 and has a lot of health issues. She has been treated successfully at Ignite Medical Resort Blue Springs. There are a lot of very professional compassionate wonderful people working there and their clinical program is the best. The food seems to be best. The facility is very clean and mostly attractive.
I am a resident at Ignite so have encountered many nurses here and also at other facilities. There are many levels of nursing care, and l have experienced a variety, from incompetent to outstanding!I met Devin Farris here. He provides excellent nursing care, and l can tell that he genuinely cares about people in general and specifically everyone who needs medical care. I wish there were more like him in the medical field!I highly recommend Devin for any job he pursues and especially those in the healthcare system.
BEWARE! Don't let the beauty of this facility fool you. My father was there for therapy, and we will never use this facility again. After a few days of therapy, he was able to get out of bed by himself, dress himself, and take a shower by himself. We wanted him home. My mother was there daily and saw these things. Ignite threatened that he would not be discharged for another 2 to 3 weeks because he could not get out of bed by himself and needed more therapy, and that if he went home, it would be ama (against medical advice) and that mother could have to pay for the days he was there. My mother was in tears and almost had a nervous breakdown. We believe they wanted to exhaust all of his Medicare benefits. (Over $400/day.) They know how to work the system. In order to get him discharged, my dad's pcp called the facility and his pcp was informed that dad was not able to even get out of bed by himself and needed to stay there. They lied. I had a conversation with my dad's pcp, and he was discharged that day from their care. Meals were served hours late and some very rude nurses are on staff. I contacted the state's Ombudsman and asked her to investigate my complaint. It's been over 3 weeks and no word from her. Now, when I call, her mailbox is full and she does not respond to my texts. With facilities with this many complaints, I'm sure she is very busy, but a quick reply that she is working on it would have been appropriate - but nothing!
