My visit in his office was superb - He scheduled me for a anglogram on the 4th of Sep 2018 and I only had to wait 7 days. Megan (bless her heart) was on the phone with Humana straightening out a few problems, for more than 30 minutes, which she solved. The two other ladies out front was superb, updating all my information to insure it was correct, outstanding service from them. My first person who briefed me on the procedure was a RN named Jason, got me dressed and in a very short time walked into the Operating Room and introduced me by first name to the five RN's who would prepare me for the operation - three males and 2 females all Registered Nurses. With some music playing in the background I laid on the table listening to them laugh and talk - I immediately took their conversations as a team getting everything prepared for Dr. Best's arrival - I was nervous, but each one talking to me did relax me considerably. Shortly Dr Best arrived talking to me and I was given something to put me relaxed and asleep - I felt the pressure of the needle going into the artery in my groin area but no pain - when I woke up the procedure was over - they gently moved me to a gurney and slowly took me to the recovery area when the male RN Jason checked again and again on me every 3 minutes monitoring my blood pressure - he was talking to me thru out. I could see him and his desk being only several feet from me. I did ask him about the "Team" of RN's in the operating room and he stated, "they had been together for a year a half - something good to hear - a solid team, and very professional. I was groggy and Jason reminded me it would take a couple of days to recover. The artery they had used started to bleed some and another RN named Joel came in and with Jason applying pressure on my hip area to stop it - telling me the why's and what they were doing - I was fully conscious and understood what was going on - I laid there for 4 hours, constant monitoring by Jason and Joel - they had my full confidence in their abilities. Dr. Best did come in to talk to me, but honestly I cannot tell you what he said to me, - still recovering. Before leaving the recovery room I was brief by Joel, which was very thorough. Dr Best has recommended me for by-pass surgery at Mercy Hospital in Springfield and I'm better prepared due his team's professionalism - thank you Dr Best
I have been his patient for several years. On at least two occassions he has saved my life. Great Doctor
I personally have seen him work wonders in the cath lab.
I feel like Dr. Best is very knowledgeable and doing everything he can to find my underlying problem. Will explain things to you so you can understand them if you do not know medical terminology!
Great. Listens & Explains Caring doctor
Very knowledgeable and proficient. Great diagnostic approach and good communication skills with the patient.
he did save me and kept me alive but everything after that he is not good does not even try to act like he cares about what is wrong with you and get mad when u ask questions about meds or what happen the best part was the night in the icu all them nurses where great after my heart attack i didnt see dr again till 5 min before i was relesed to go home
Saw him for a few years the switched to Dr. Marmagkiolis. Very biased against overweight people. Kind of the talk-of-the-town on this. Even nurses will roll their eyes and apologize or tell you their horror stories about his manners especially to overweight clients.
My parents' recent experience with Mr. Best was appalling! My 87 year old father was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016. He was unable to endure treatment. Knowing this, and the history of significant cognitive decline with anesthesia, Mr. Best replaced my father's pacemaker/defibrillator earlier this year. When they saw him Tues to obtain readings from the unit, he asked them if they had ever considered turning the unit off. When my father said no, he got up and walked out!
I was told he was the Best Dr. I have no doubt about his clinical skills - I felt I was in good hands with him technically. But...I had to wait 8 hours for him to see me after the procedure because he was "doing inventory." Fed up, I decided to check myself out. When I approached the nurse's station, there he was bragging to a pretty nurse about how fast he had inserted my heart catheter. I agree with one of the other reviewers. This guy has no social skills and an ego bigger than his brain.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
