I was a patient of Dr. Michael Selby for two years and I found him to be patient, understanding, he listened to me and answered all of my questions. He never rushed me as so many doctors do. Dr. Selby is very caring to his patients and when he left Mercy I was crushed, So very hard to find a doctor who really cares about their patients. Every other doctor I went to see, rushed in to see me and rushed out, they never really listened to me.

If I could give him a 0, I would. I have never been treated so poorly by a physician, and I am a nurse. I had my first appointment with him today at 8:15. I showed up at 8:15 to the office (I had went to the other main clinic across the street by accident first, or I would have been a little earlier. The signage for his office is not good.) He REFUSED to see me because I wasn't there 15 minutes early, even though NOTHING was ever said that I had to be in the office that early. Horrible service!

The likelihood of my recommending Dr. Michael Selby to my friends and family is 100%. Dr. Selby is caring and thorough. My health has improved 100% since I've been in his care. I had renal failure but because of his quick decisions and invaluable direction, my kidneys are functioning within normal range. If you're looking for a no nonsense Doctor and a man who truly cares about your well being, you've found him in Dr. Michael Selby.

I have found Dr. Selby to be very thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate in his meetings with me. He takes the time to make sure I understand lab results as well as managing my expectations for my health. I am very happy with the care he provides. I have the utmost confidence in him.

Not at all impressed.... pompous demeanor, lacked eye contact, seemed aloof and too busy..... I was immediately informed that based on previous tests from my referral that he felt I had no problems and did not feel there was a need to see me or test further, HOWEVER, even with me being uninsured he happily billed me $176 for that tidbit instead of cancelling the appointment. He is currently with Mercy in Joplin which is ironic at he spears to lack it!
