J. Daniel Cuevas's Online Review Report Card

Over the course of my cancer treatment, I had many issues with claims being rejected from my insurance company due to a "secondary" co-payment insurance Dr. Cuevas' office repeatedly referred to when submitting bills for chemotherapy and other treatments. This was totally unnecessary and resulted in EVERY claim being rejected by my insurance provider. I spent hours upon end on the phone and online disputing and resubmitting claims not only for his office, but every other doctor involved in my care. When I would show up for my chemotherapy treatments his receptionist would ask me how I wanted to pay for the $10,000 - $20,000 balance on my account.... Needless, to say this was frustrating to deal with while trying to recover from chemotherapy. The final straw was Dr. Cuevas implying that I should opt for a second round of chemotherapy since, "It's only hair"...I EXPECT MORE FROM AN ONCOLOGIST AND FROM ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL.

When cancer became an unfortunate family tradition Dr. Cuevas took the best care of all of us. My fathers cancer was terminal but Cuevas helped him live his best life for the next 5 years. My mother, grandmother, and I have all been cancer free for 10 or more years now and we are still ever so grateful for Cuevas.

Dr. Cuevas is always very professional and thorough and at the same time very kind and caring. His team of nurses and other health care professionals at the St. Louis Cancer Care Center are also exceptional in caring for their patients.

Trusted him for many years. Last year I knew something was wrong . He ordered no new tests and said come back in 6 months. Thankfully I found a new doctor and found out my cancer was active. We all know every day is precious.

He has been a very personable Doctor since the first time I met him in 2006. He takes the time to explain all that he will be doing.

Dr. Cuevas is amazing! He is so very sincere, and empathetic! He informs you on everything that you are about to go through, and he does in a way that you understand! He does not rush his way through your appointment, and he answers all of your questions, no matter how long it takes. I have been to a lot of doctors over the years, and he ranks #1 in my book. I thank him so very much for his humanity!

When there is a diagnosis of stage IV cancer, there are many emotions-anxiety, fear, and sadness. Dr. Cuevas and the staff at STL Cancer Center have been a silver lining in what my family and I thought was a dark cloud. Not only is his medical knowledge SUPERIOR, his empathy and caring nature are evident. He cares for the TOTAL patient. He understands the importance of treating the body, mind, spirit. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking excellent, compassionate, cancer care!

Very patient and kind. I was selected for a study treatment at another location and came to Dr Cuevas for a 2nd opinion. Dr Cuevas took the time to talk through my options with me and made a very stressful cancer diagnosis feel survivable and treatment manageable.
