Dr Hanson was excellent! He didn’t rush into surgery-he did appropriate testing to ensure that was the right option. Once it was decided, he was wonderful the day of surgery to me and my family! The incision is small and pain was minimal. I just went for my post op visit and my incision looks great. Even after surgery, he took the time to sit and answer my questions. He encouraged me to call if I had any issues in the future. I would recommend to anyone and would trust him to care for me again as well as my family.

Poor I was refused service if I did not allow them to copy my ID. I showed them my ID and allowed them to copy any information required. I even offered to allow them to photograph me. But they refused to see me without a copy of the ID.

I would not recommend Dr. Hanson to anyone. I went to him because I started having issues with my tonsils and needed them removed. I only met with his NP Jessica Wild(she was great) up until 5 mins before surgery. He stated I was a unique case because of the size of my tonsils. Surgery went fine but recovery was not fine. The next day I started bleeding really bad and was grateful I was able to stop it with gargling ice water. But when Dr. Hansen was contacted he asked how it happened. My wife told him I coughed. His response was..."well he shouldn't be coughing". I just had surgery yesterday with all sorts of tubes down my throat and all you can say is...."he shouldn't be coughing" I also explained to him that I couldn't even swallow my own saliva because my throat, uvula and tongue were swollen, not from the actual surgery, but from the tools they used to hold everything out of the way. I couldn't swallow my pain pills...so you can imagine. When I called the nurse for liquid pain meds she was surprised I was given pills. He refused to prescribe me liquid. So for a few days I was in extreme pain, unable to get down a pill so had to crush them and swallow the powder with what liquid I could swallow. After 5 days I went to an urgent care because I was so dehydrated. They found infection from the surgery. The recommended an antibiotic, liquid pain meds and fluids. Luckily they gave me the fluids before talking to Dr. Hansen as he said no to everything. So no liquid pain meds, no antibiotics and he was not happy they gave me a bag before talking to him. I went to the urgent care because I had several calls out to him and he never called me back. When I could finally take my pills I ran out because he only prescribed enough for 3 days. I called his office for a refill and he never called back.. Luckily I get notifications on my phone that the pharmacy got a new script for me. Otherwise I would have never known he filled it. The reason I would avoid Dr. Hansen is the lack empathy and understanding with his patients. He doesn't care about his patients. He doesn't follow thru and you only speak to him when he's available. Literally only spoke to him maybe a total of 2 mins in this whole process. When my follow up happened he looked and didn't want to hear my concerns. He said "well now that they are out you never have to worry about tonsil issues again" That was it. Because of my frustration, he could tell, he said my follow up visit was free. We will see...I will probably still get a bill. Avoid him at all costs. There are much better surgeons that will take care of your needs and communicate in a professional manner. If I could give him a 0 I would. Good luck.

I came to the office on August 1, 2022. I told Dr. Hanson I was having nose bleeds. In the past I've needed to have it cartarized. He barely looked at my nostril. I told him this is how it's fix everytime, but he insisted that I just need some ointment. I had 3 more nose bleeds after I started using it. Luckily I was able to get another appointment on the 10th with a different doctor and have it cartarized before I boarded a plane the next day. Basically Dr. Hanson wasted my time and my $60 copay to do absolutely nothing.

Excellent. Office appointments are quick at the DePaul location. Dr. Hanson did surgery to cure the condition. Very compassionate person.

My family are Long time patients at this practice. Def recommend

Dr Hanson, a real gentle giant, is the best model of the doctor/patient relationship. He listens intently to your concerns, He takes notes, asks probing questions related to your concerns. He took time with me and made me feel so relieved. I wish I had seen him sooner.

Horrible, he never called back after getting an MRI, I had hearing loss and hasn’t done anything about it! Money hungry, but doesn’t care about anything else.

Dr. Hansen did not deal with the 3 things I came into his office for. Instead gave me a prescription meds with serious side effects that I probably won't even take. Still having headaches, earaches and dizziness. Then, for some reason, hurt my back. Not happy.
