Rashid Zia's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Zia has helped me so much! I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Zia was my psychiatrist for a number of years. In that time I found him cold and unwilling to listen fully to what I was telling him. He was essentially who I went to for prescriptions. In March 2022 I sent my son son, who was suffering from severe depression, to see him because he was the only psychiatrist we could get in to see quickly. He prescribed Wellbutrin but to my knowledge never followed up with my son to determine how the medication was affecting him. On Sept. 10, 2021, my son took his life. Dr. Zia, minimized our loss, telling me my son was simply upset over an argument he had with his girlfriend and I should just accept that. In effect, he was telling me to get over it. I fear this is the same level of indifferent, compassionless treatment he was giving my son. Dr. Zia is no longer my psychiatrist. I will forever regret sending my son to him, and I would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr Zia ALWAYS Runs at least one hour late every appointment. I was in the hospital for a severe communicable disease that kills elderly and those with compromised immune systems and all people with 1/2 common sense knowledge will not allow in patient doctors appointment unless absolutely necessary and then you need to be able to gown, mask and have a sink to wash your hands - hand sanitizer doesn’t work. The first time I in the hospital unplanned obviously I called to tell them I had an emergency and had been admitted into the hospital. The office said I could phone conference at my appointment time with him he never called I called back that day 3 hours after my appointment- per staff he hadn’t had a chance to call but would in the next 5-10 minutes- NEVER or at least not in the 5-10 did he cal, he didn’t call 60 minutes I watched my phone with ringer on high. If he called it was over an hour 60+ minutes later I am already stuck in a hospital bed for the second week as a single mo

When I got out of the hospital I called to make an appointment either in person or on the phone because I don’t know when my C diff is truly non contagious. When in the hospital the toxin tests were negative but I was highly symptomatic and I am super weak still and barely keeping hydrated with a specialized program at home. C-Diff which is a highly communicable disease that most doctors offices won’t see me until I get tested negative after my course of current anabiotic‘s so why would he want somebody with a highly communicable disease in their office. The office manager didn’t know I was in the hospital for two weeks said well you didn’t make your phone calls no he never called me and the fact that I asked for and phone call because I was in the hospital and I’m asking for another phone call cause I’m out of the hospital and contagious makes me look like I don’t want to be compliant. Why the heck would I called the office to make an appointment and then also protect everybody and said office by sharing my health history request another phone call that I never got in the first place. I get people may not be educated in all communicable diseases , but if a patient/client/person paying you for your specialty services called to make sure to get their appointment and waited hours in the hospital. Then once out of the hospital but still very sick was kind enough to share my personal medical and hospital care out of concern for staff, the doc and all patients thank them, don’t say, “well this is the second time in two weeks you have asked for a phone call he (Dr. Zia) is going to think you don’t want to come in. I did finally get true apology from that receptionist but that culture of not caring to look at the individual’s Circumstances especially if they say they are and we’re admitted in the hospital, and just compare them to non-med compliant patients, when the patient them selves is calling and trying to protect everyone it is just a unprofessional and inhumane system the receptionist needs to feel that is a line to use to make the patient commit point blank with no consideration or active listening and empathy

Over an hour late every appointment, talks to you for 5 minutes, & over prescribes meds.

I waited an hour for my appointment with him. On top of that the last time I saw him, he was very quick with me and tried to tell me I had a condition in less than 10 min of knowing me. I wouldn’t recommend seeing him.

Caring professional with a wonderful attitude on life.

Sadly only bad rating on line. This has been my dr for many years and has helped me and my family to many traumatic life changes. I can't imagine anyone ever saying anything negative. His staff is like family to me after this long, I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and look forward to my visits with both Dr. Zia and his staff
