List of Karen Yates's Reviews
I was extremely disappointed she won't let you get a word in and I left feeling unsettled with my visit and still my questions weren't answered .... she brought up a Dr I had seen last year that completely diagnosed me incorrectly so this appt with her is invalid reason being she obviously spoken with him and if not don't speak with me about something that has nothing to do with her its unprofessional as so is she is. Be careful visiting her your paying for the visit and a patient should never leave with uneasy thoughts.
Took my husband to Dr. Yates as he had a tumor removed from his left ear 50 years. He needs to have it cleaned out every six months or so and that is why we went to her. She spent a lot of time telling us the reason we needed a flu shot. I told her we do not take the flu shot and she just talked over me like I hadn't said a thing. She spent a lot of time talking about things that did not pertain to the appointment. Finally she cleaned the right ear out and hurt him badly, which no other doctor has done before, then she went to the ear that had the tumor she cleaned that one out and got some gunk out of it which she said was something other than the powder that we put in his ear when it needed to be cleaned. We told her that he has a "wet" ear which means he should keep water out of it. She prescribed 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar to keep it flushed out, then drops of Clotrimazole. I looked back into my notes from other doctors that have dealt with the same problem and the last doctor we went to in Oregon prescribed that when his ear was dry, not for a wet ear that he is dealing with now. I don't feel comfortable with putting the vinegar solution and the Clotrimazole in his ear with the problem he is having now. We won't be going back to this doctor. Also, the paperwork we filled out did not pertain to his ear problem and had very invasive questions like if he was circumcised, how many wives he had, how many kids he had whats the point, he has an ear infection. The whole appointment was very strange.

she was very thorough, however is no longer practicing in Cape Girardea
She was a hour and half late, with no apology. Do not use her, she will prescribed and scary you into tests. My daughter lost her innocents by going to the Hospital. Sad, we went to and got a second opinion and I'm glad. He said, she didn't have to do these tests for a small cyst. Shame on you.
Very condescending and rude. She has no disregard for other people's schedules. If things are not done her way they are, in her mind, wrong and she will laugh in your face if she doesn't agree.
Very though with her exam . Very informative and made sure you knew the plan of care.
Been visiting Dr. Yates for more than two years and until recently she scheduled me for appointments every month. When scheduling, she was always careful to make Medicare acceptance a priority which on the one hand benefits me... and likely benefits her as well. On my last visit I waited a full 1 1/2 hours to be seen. Unacceptable. Most of the time I have to wait in excess of 1/2 hour.
Unfriendly and acted as if we were uneducated, dumb and horrible parents. She refused to do the testing we inquired about for our daughter. Simply continued to give us a diet plan instead of supplying factual evidence to why our daughter continued to have a reaction. Would not recommended her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
