We love her!
I've seen Dr. Gearhart for many years. She and her NP (Amy) are smart, attentive, and caring. Dr. Gearhart tells you information straight and upfront, which I appreciate. Their office answers the phone and returns your calls and can get you in when you need. I highly recommend!
Dr. Gearhart has been my OB/GYN for over a decade. She is attentive, professional, and caring. Highly recommend her!
Went to Dr Gearhart for several years. No issues until this year when her billing office incorrectly billed the wrong insurance (without double checking with me) and when they didn’t pay, I was sent a bill for almost $900. This has since created a huge mess between them, me, and the insurance company. Been dealing with this (with minimal assistance from them and zero follow through from insurance) since February. I’ve had to do all the corresponding with insurance and Dr Gearhart’s office has completely dropped the ball and placed all responsibility on me. Dr Gearhart’s office then terminated my status as a patient and sent this bill to collections after I did my part and sent them all the info they need to follow up with insurance and resubmit for payment. So now I’m stuck battling the nightmare that is Coventry insurance and my credit is in jeopardy for an issue that began with a mistake on the part of this physicians billing office. Id advise anyone who chooses this office to keep a close eye on their billing practices and be sure to double check that they are billing the correct insurance every single time you go, even if you’ve had the same insurance company for 3-4 years. Seems as though no one wants to take responsibility for billing mistakes and even though it was a mistake on their end, I’m the one having to deal with it or face financial consequences. Very disappointing after several years as a loyal patient.
I see Dr.Gearhart every month because of my pregnancy. I feel very comfortable with her .The office staff and nurse Amy are also very approachable .Best part is this office is not over packed and if you need them they will find time for you . I have been seeing Dr. Gearhart since last 3 yrs and I highly recommend her.
Dr Gearhart is an excellent physician and clinician! She treats you as she would treat her sisters! I have been going to her for 20+ years! I have been in the medical field. The staff is friendly and very helpful!
This was my first visit and I found Dr. Gearhart to be professional, friendly and informed. She also likes to meet with her new patients before the exam which is a nice touch. Highly recommend!
Went to Dr Gearhart for several years. No issues until this year when her billing office incorrectly billed the wrong insurance back in 2016 & 2017 (without double checking with me whether my coverage had changed) and when they didn’t get paid, I was sent a bill for almost $900. This has since created a huge mess between them, me, and the insurance company. Been dealing with this (with minimal to zero assistance from them and zero follow through from insurance) since February. I’ve had to do all the corresponding with insurance and they completely dropped the ball and left me on my own to try and fix something they did wrong. I gave them all the info needed to follow through and get themselves paid. Dr Gearhart’s office still terminated my status as a patient and sent the bill to collections. Id advise anyone who chooses this office to keep a close eye on their billing practices and be sure to double check that they are billing the correct insurance every single time you go.
I am responding to J's comments above. You had been a patient at our office for 11 years, and came in with some problems. We ordered the recommended labs for your medical history, and the lab said your insurance company held you responsible for $2299 of their $6726 bill. My office staff contacted your insurance company and the lab for you but they both would not change their decisions. We are unable to know the terms of every patient's insurance company's contract with labs, but our office makes NO money from any lab fees. You only owed us $36 for a follow-up visit for your medical issues. We gave you the appropriate care as recommended by the American College of OBGYN, and hope you continue to do well.
To my patient: As our office communicated to you multiple times, we don't have any control over what the lab charges or what your insurance puts towards your deductible. You had extensive lab work recommended by the American College of OB-GYN due to your medical history, and the lab charged $6726, and put $2299 toward your deductible (per your insurance company.) Thus you were responsible for $2299 in lab fees. Our office DOES NOT make any money from lab fees. You owed our office $36 from your medical visit for other medical problems, which you paid to us. My office staff contacted the lab and your insurance company of your behalf, but could not make them change their policies. We took care of your medical issues, and luckily, all the recommended tests were normal. You were happy with our care for 11 years until you got a large, unexpected bill put towards your deductible, which we couldn't know ahead of time and couldn't control. Please do not confuse "money issues" with medical care, which was appropriate. I hope you and your family continue to be healthy.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
