List of Douglas R. Berson's Reviews
After some 2 years of grappling with allegoric reactions combined with chronic ear and nasal inflammation that my ENT was unable to correct despite prescribing all sorts of potions and weekly injections and pills I fired him. My PCP suggested Dr. Berson and on the FIRST visit he sorted out that I WAS NOT allergic to 15 different allergens in 5 categories, but only 4 in 2 categories. Further he was upfront that the inflammation required an ENT specialist and he pointed me to Dr. Jason Rudman. Again, on the first visit Rudman nailed the diagnosis and I left feeling confident the proper corrective actions were now in play. Now, this once frustrated patient is now making good progress to controlling the insufferable allergens so prominent in St Charles County. Don't get suckered by docs who proclaim they are supreme in their marketing. Ask around and see who does their homework for your best health needs.
I went to this Dr Berson for what my Dermatologlst called hives. Dr Berson said he had never seen anything like it and refused to treat the condition because he did not know what it was. I took my biopsy report to him which was done by my Dermatologist. I asked him for a referral after he admitted he did not know what the skin reaction was. He had to think awhile and finally gave me a name and said the guy might like a challenge. I never called the referral, as a I thought it weird that this Physician could not identify a skin condition with a biopsy report and the notes from the Dermatologist. Unlike the office staff he was pleasant enough. When I got home I realized they had not given me back my biopsy report and notes. I called the receptionist and she said she would send them right out. Two weeks passed and they never came. I called again and they argued with me and wanted me to drive 80 miles round trip to get them. They hung up on me twice before she said they would send them. I have to say the office staff is the Rudest I have ever dealt with, even from the first time I called to get an appointment. I regret going there and paying these people for nothing, and they are also collecting from my insurance company and can’t even get my own records back to me. Why even charge people if you haven’t the knowledge to administer any treatment whatsoever, plus having to deal with an office staff from hell. When you make an appointment they want to know for certain your insurance will pay or that you are capable of paying, like that is the only thing they’re interested in. I’m sure I will never get my records back. They sure don’t know how to treat sick people .
Dr. Berson has been treating me since the early 90’s when I was a child struggling on a daily basis just to exist. I’ve always felt welcomed and cared for by this exceptional Doctor. He’s why I’m able to function as I do in life, and I’m forever thankful for him and the staff he’s had along the way to help.
After 45 minutes of waiting, I had to leave the exam room and ask if the MD would still be in to see me. Unfortunately, the MD forgot about a "peer review" that was scheduled during my apt time. after another 1/2 hour a saw the MD. 7 months later i received a statement for $537 with a call that threatened collections. i had confirmed when i was in the office that insurance would cover the services i was receiving. What an ugly surprise. Make sure you triple check what your out of pocket will be and confirm your apt time after being placed in the exam room! i strongly dissuade scheduling with this office.
Although my allergy is rare, Dr. Berson showed great interest and spent much time with me. He is so outgoing and friendly. He is excellent!
Dr. Berson is knowledgeable and compassionate. He spent a lot of time with my husband who was in the middle of a crisis from an allergic reaction. Very very helpful. I really trust him!
I just called this morning to make a new patient appointment and spoke with Barbara. She was very rude. I will not be going to this office based on her attitude towards me trying to make an appointment . I’d recommend Dr. Berson to retrain your front desk help to be more friendlier and helpful. Had Barbara been more helpful- I would have made an appointment and maybe would not have given you a low grade. Rudeness before I’m even seen - no way! There are too many other allergists out there to see. Thanks but no thanks. Julie L.
Excellent doctor. He took time and listened to what I had to say. He took time to answer all my questions. I NEVER felt rushed out of the office like most of today doctors.
I am a stage four cancer survivor. I have been to a few doctors to say the least. Dr. Berson is top shelf !!! Personable, Professional and so easy to communicate with. I had major chronic chest congestion and sinus problems for 2 1/2 years straight due to cancer treatments. Dr. Berson got me fixed up and I'm grateful. There is just a great Vibe going on with the whole staff . Everyone is just enjoyable to be around. If your looking for a doctor in this expertise I doubt you'll find better.
Office staff not friendly. Nurse in exam roon inept with common nursing activities. Dr was kind and knowledgeable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
