List of MItchell B. Rotman's Reviews
I’ve had surgery performed by Dr. Rotman on two occasions and both situations were excellent and beyond expectations. He is very detailed and patient focused. His knowledge of the areas he treats is second to none. He’s down to earth and very easy to communicate with. My most recent surgery was for a torn bicep. Excellent repair with zero pain. Yes, I said zero pain and I’ve taken zero opioids. Tylenol and ibuprofen only. I highly recommend Dr. Rotman. You will be hard pressed to find someone better.
I work in an ER and on several occasions, Dr Rotman has met patients of mine that have serious hand injuries at his office after hours in order to properly care for their wounds. This is extremely rare in this day and age and shows his selfless compassion for patients that need him! He does outstanding work!
Dr. Rotman was very unprofessional for my moms workers comp. He didn’t listen to my moms concerns, made snarky and rude comments, discharged her after 5min, and just simply didn’t care about her injury.
Dr. Rotman did my carpal tunnel surgery years ago (both hands at the same time). I was very happy with the results & experienced very little pain. Have never had an issue since. Highly recommend.
Dr. Rotman did my carpal tunnel surgery. He was very quick and the staff was amazing. Recovery was good 8 and both of my hand are doing better
He is an excellent and caring surgeon. I and my husband wouldn't use anyone else for upper extremity issues (especially hands and elbows, etc.. ) I went first with a carpal tunnel release on one side and then husband had CTS releases bilaterally and a more recent rotator cuff and biceps tendon repair. We hope he doesn't retire any time soon!!
Worst doctor I have ever been to he could care less about how you feel, makes a good workers comp dr just worried about you going back to work pain or not, when you complain he says it was a failed surgery, says pain has nothing to do with what he did I Wouldn't let him work on my dog
We were not impressed with Dr. Rottmans demeanor and assessment. The over all impression was of errogence and unconcern. We came in last week with an MRI showing a hairline fracture in my sons wrist and we were requesting a second opinion. His Impression was that my sons pain and complaints didn’t match the examination and MRI. He spent about 10 minutes with us. He asked my son what position he played, mocked my sons size, asked him if he hit home runs, told him to wrap his wrist and play through the pain. My son went to baseball tryouts yesterday and is in more pain than he has been ever been. Now we are back to square one. We will not be returning to Dr. Rottman.
I am an avid rock climber and train several days a week. I went to see Dr. Rottman for a second opinion for a tendon injury in my middle finger. The finger was very swollen and tender. After 4 weeks off from climbing and taking other meds prescribed from a doc with a shot in my a2 tendon and over the counter that didn’t help I scheduled the appointment to see dr Rottman and they got me in the next week. At the appointment they did an x ray before he looked. After a few minutes of him inspecting my finger he was able to determine it was the knuckle not the a2 tendon a different previous doctor had concluded. He gave me a shot directly in the knuckle and 24 hours later ALL the swelling was gone. 72 hours from the shot I was climbing 100% pain free. The finger feels exactly the same as the other 9 and could not be happier to be back climbing pain free!
I have gone to Dr Rotman for all my hand problems (carpal tunnel, trigger finger, and De Quervains, he does an excellent job and his staff are great. As a registered nurse who has worked in surgery, I have been around a lot of surgeons. He is one of the best and that’s why I go to him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
