Marija Tonkovic-Capin's Online Review Report Card

Had to wait for over an hour (even though I was told to arrive 15 minutes before my appointment). Then, she quickly examined my entire skin (just there for an annual check). There were two moles she found "suspicious." When I asked about the cost for removal/biopsy, she had no idea. She just kept saying "Insurance will pay." Umm...no. I have a $4000 deductible, so they won't pay. I had her remove one of the moles. A few weeks later...a bill for over $800 arrived. And the mole was just a mole, but I had to call to find that out. I also just got ANOTHER bill from a pathologist in Colorado - five months later - for another $150. I don't know why they sent my mole two states away, out of the insurance network. I would never go here again.

I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. T's knowledge and professional skills. She has caught my basal and squamous cell carcinoma's extremely early and jumped immediately into removal and follow up. I have since moved to Oregon where I have been unable to find a dermatologist of her caliber. I miss her desperately and cannot understand why good dermo's are so hard to find. I certainly recommend her if you have a family history of skin cancers.

Update from my earlier 1 star review. Got a second opinion and the “mole” she refused to treat or biopsy is Skin cancer. I cant thumbs down her enough. My current dermatologist said she has had many complaints about DR. Tankovich from other patients.

I went in for a appointment for my psoriasis. She spent less than a minute in the room, was supposed to get a full body examine. She told me a incurable disease could be cured by weight loss. She put me on a medication after I explained that it made my condition worse and then told me I had no other options to help manage my psoriasis. I would not recommend her for any skin conditions and will be seeking another doctor.

Dr. M. Tonkovic-Capin is a 5 star doctor. She & her staff are very professional & cautious, always ready to help if they can. They are genuine & courteous to privacy, patient needs & I would highly recommend the Dr. & her staff! If you need a dermatologist I would see her for your needs.

Dr Tonkavic was professional and thorough. She addressed all of my concerns. Result of the procedure was excellent and scar is barely visible.

went to an other dermatologist one week later after seeing dr. marija tonkovic an she did not even check the place on my face that I indicated to the nurse. The other dr. found four spots on my face two are being biopsied for BCC which as I had informed dr. Tonkovic has been found and removed on my face and back three times. The other two spots were frozen at the office. dr Tonkovic was paid for a full body exam and it took her less than 8 mins. to check me out.
