List of David Sheinbein's Reviews
Dr. David Sheinbein has very little consideration toward his patients’ needs or time. He cancels scheduled appointments, never calls to reschedule and blatantly brushes off the concerns his patients may have. My first appointment with this doctor regarded a rash for which he prescribed an oil and pills, and a follow-up appointment was scheduled. He also examined a mole on my ear and a separate appointment was scheduled for its removal. His office called later to let me know the doctor had cancelled the appointment for the procedure to remove the mole and they’d let me know when it had been rescheduled. I was never contacted. During the follow-up appointment for the rash I reminded the doctor I'd not been contacted to reschedule the procedure for the mole removal. The appointment was now scheduled for October 13th. Today I kept the appointment to have the mole removed but once there the doctor informed me he had a limited supply of the topical anesthetic necessary to perform the procedure and he wanted to ‘save’ it for other patients. He also informed me that I would just need to learn to live with the rash since it still hadn’t cleared. All in all, it took him approximately 5 minutes to refuse to remove the mole and to discontinue any further management of the rash. If his intent was to deny treatment then it could have been handled by phone. Dr. Sheinbein’s attitude toward patients is cold and callous. I will be seeking another dermatologist and advise others to do the same.
I have Behcet's Syndrome. The lesions were first diagnosed as psoriasis by another dermatologist when I was young. He told me I did not have psoriasis and left the room. He did not ever examine me personally, he left that to his student. Later on, when I developed lesions on my feet, I had to see someone else in the practice.
waited 6 months to get in with Dr. Sheinbein, saw the intern for about 5 minutes and Sheinbein for less than 5, asked for a daily cleanser and got an expensive topical that sits in my refrigerator unused, not impressed
During the entire ten seconds I was graced with his Omnipotent Presence, he introduced himself, told me I do not have psoriasis, and then Elvis left the building. A year later, by when I lost much of my hair and developed a necrotizing rash, I was told to call someone else, Mr. Important is Busy.
Office staff have been no help. It’s been more than 6 months to try and get my medicine. Absolutely frustrating.
Big waste of time.
Dr. Sheinbein and his clinical and administrative staff were outstanding. They were all professional , caring , competent and efficient. The visit could not have been better and Dr. Sheinbein always does a timely follow-up of biopsy results.
Dr. Sheinbein's practice excels in competence and respects my preference for treatment options. I like participating in the training of residents and medical students, all of whom are knowledgable and very courteous. It's the best dermatology care I have ever had.
Thoroughly disgusted with our experience with Dr. Sheinbein. He was nothing short of a waste of time to us. My 8 year old son is Type 1 Diabetic, who also happens to be allergic to adhesive, this preventing him from being able to wear his Dexcom CGM, and Omnipod pump. When we went to see Dr. Sheinbein, he did an allergy test, and his actual reply, after one test, was "I really don't know what he's allergic to." Prescribed us a Dermapal, and we literally never heard from them again. Absolutely ridiculous patient care, if you would even like to call it that.
May be knowledgeable, but after 2 visits, I will not return & feel it’s worth a review to mention my perception of him as a specialist who is only interested in a patient who has a serious dermatological issue (CA?). I say this as during both of my visits (a year apart), I felt he was dismissive of my concern, curt, & condescending. And I think he missed out on Bedside Manners 101- will not be returning, ...

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
