List of Paul H. Young's Reviews
I had a neck injury in Sept 2011. I was not able to have surgery until January 2012, Dr. Young was stuck in Africa, because of 911 all planes were grounded. His staff told me every year Dr Young went to Africa and volunteered his time, performing surgery for the underprivileged. Dr Young is a truly extraordinary surgeon. I've had plenty of doctors, but none as good as Dr Young. Truly the kindest surgeon I ever met. He has a real concern for his patients. Well, I sustained another neck injury along with a shoulder injury. I can’t tell you how sad I am he's not taking new patients at this time. He is the best!
DR Young , was my surgery 2 yrs ago. I can`t thank him enough. Best surgery hands down. He performed a Discectomy on L4. Everything went well.Thank you Dr Young
Very happy with my neck surgery 8 years ago. I would highly recommend Dr. Young for anyone. Very thorough and friendly.
This man saved my life. Literally. From death's doorstep to working full time again in five months. I owe Dr Young my life.
This So called DR. is a Quack!!! In 1988 he Operated on me Because I had a constricting nerve (a semi facial pinched nerve) in my upper neck (behind my ear) went in for test and needed an operation , so I let him operate on me that lasted about 41/2 -5 months and the problem started back again , So I went back and he ran more test and told me I needed another operation so like a dam fool I let him and when I came too in recovery I Couldn't out of my Left ear, I told the nurse so she went and got him . When he came he asked whats wrong , I told him the problem and he said sometimes touching the nerve can bruise it temporarily and my hearing should come back in 2-4 years so shortly after coming out of the hospital I went and had 2 different hearing test done and they told me that DR. Young severed the nerve and nothing could be done about it . I called him on the phone and explained the hearing test and all he said he was sorry to hear that.... So for 32 years I have had no hearing in my Left ear thanks to him....
Dr Young spent 5 minutes looking at mri and made pt recommendation. He had no interested in the 10 years of med records I brought which included a number of pt sessions over 10 years. Chiro for 10 years, 6 mri’s xrays, discograms, myleograms etc... took my $200 for 5 min office visit and said basically bye bye. Gina at the front desk is a hitch. Do not deal with her. She’s terrible. Thinks she can make medical decision when she’s just office help. I DO NOT recommend.
I dealt with such horrible back pain, I couldn't even sleep. My doctor recommended Dr Paul Young. I had severe spinal stenosis. 70% blockage of "stuff" closing up the opening in each of 4 discs. Doctor Young performed micro surgery to open up all 4 discs so no nerves were being "choked to death". I woke up with no spinal pain. (Of course some pain from the incision) I WENT HOME THAT EVENING! In about 3 weeks, I was back to being a normal human being. Thanks Doc! You are the best!
After hearing that I need major back reconstruction, went to Dr. Young. He kept the surgery simple, and I have had no nerve pain since I walked out of the hospital on the day of the procedure. Dr. Young is one of the most gentle, sweet, and compassionate doctors I've ever gone to in my life. {and I've gone to many} He knows exactly what to do, and how to do it. From the moment I met with him, my fear and anxiety were gone.! Excellent Neurosurgeon!! Cindy G.
I had neck surgery C2 herniated and pressing on my spinal cord )with Dr Young 5 months ago and everything went fine. His confidence and demeanor made me feel safe and well cared for. I have no complaints and my arms and hands are not numb anymore. I would recommend him to anyone. All of his staff were great also .
I had surgery 4 weeks ago by Dr. Young and I am in worse pain than I was before the surgery. I believe he needs psychiatric care. When the head nurse with colleagues apologizes for his un ethical behavior as a patient YOU know your in trouble!! 5 weeks later I find out I have 2 fresh herniated disk and a large Seroma at my l5 and stress fractures were my surgery was performed. I followed therapy protocols and nutrition and walked every day and now I need a fusion and a cage to fix this. Bad luck or Bad surgery? Oh and the seroma needs to be drained pushing on my L 5 nerve root.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
