She cares and has guided me through some horrific family court bs
She thought I was making things up I feel like each doctor speaks to my family when they are abusive and suffer mental illness I am 33 and my brother went to tulane law school I told her what I said and I was in and out in ten minutes I've put in so much time and energy and phone calls to get my family to get treatment and they refuse and she's listening to verbally abusive people and my elderly mother who needs to be in a facility as well as my mother's sister and the people they are married to so i can't return I have insurance and have been through this so many times I have to move from the state of missouri for proper treatment and they don't understand I have rights and the court did me wrong and that I am reasonable when they talk to my mentally ill family and I tell them not to and they do anyway
Dr Rao is very demanding, strong arming, pushes medications you decline and when you decline she no longer wants to see you as a patient. She will charge you for what your insurance company has paid her therefore getting paid twice. If she’s not paid she continue to raise the original amount and then send to collections. This is the worst psychiatrist I have ever seen! She cold, uncaring and money hungry. I was only to happy to severe any more visits with her. Awful person! Annemarie Conrod.
While improvements have been made over the years and staff always courteous and kind. Thenew staff can still can blow you off with explanations of our situation leaving you without your meds for weeks. They seem to make it harder on the one thats doing everuthing right but is going through an especially hard time due to circumstances outside their control. Especially when ive Been patient for about 10 years longer than theyve been an employee. Ive been her patient 10+ yrs PLUS 20+years with Dr. B. that was down hallway from her, that retired and sent me to her. They have 30 years of records that reflect my consistent good patient status with meds and appt history and knowing Im an hour away. She also knows my current situation thats been filled with mamy obstacles recently that are completely outside of my ability to fix due to reliance on services provided locally for supportive assistance for a disabled family member that Im the sole caretaker for. With COVID could ZOOM but now we can't? Offered to pay for every zoom appt even additionally if needed because I cant change these things on my end or leve my disaed son alone to be alone for the 3 hour round trip appt.to her office. Its nearly 50 miles from my house. Its just so disheartening because Ive been such a steady longterm patient. Like, why??? Youre in the mental health field. Yet when a long term patient needs help you can't look at their longggg history and help them out?
You have to wait, on average, 40+ minutes from your scheduled appointment time. Just to talk to someone who does not care about you and is only there to make money. A meeting with the doctor could be over in as little as 5 minutes, but charged for a half hour. She'll forget sensitive and quite important information that was said in previous meetings; in my case, a suicide attempt.
Dr Roa is not a bit concerned about her patients. Dr. Roa gives you 4 minutes and bills for half an hour. If the insurance has discounted her service ( and this is normal) she makes the patient pay the difference, as if Dr. Roa is not contracted with the insurance company! Every month I would see her, pay my copay , then spend 4 minutes with Dr. Roa. Then the office staff, as they were giving me a new appointment, would tell me I owed 70 dollars. The staff could never explain why Dr. Roa’s practice was the only practice, in any medical field I’ve ever been to, do this. They would just say “ this is what you owe and you can’t have another appointment nor will we call your meds in if you don’t pay now”. It was like the Mob was running the office. The office and Dr. Roa , would force you go without your medicine if you couldn’t pay the 70 dollars , that you were not supposed to have to pay, in the first place! I called my insurance company and they said that I “ should not pay it! It’s not supposed to be paid! We negotiated a contract with her!” I tried to stand my ground but, I had to have my medicine. When I finally pushed back hard and really started asking questions, and told the office manager what my insurance company representative said,I was asked when I called my insurance, who I spoke too, and I gave them the information. A few days later I received a letter in the mail addressed from Dr. Roa, telling me I was no longer a patient. I was not given another visit or given another month of medication , which to my understanding, is the law, so as not to leave the patient without their needed medication and to give the patient time to find and vet a new doctor. Dr. Roa, also had me on two different types of benzodiazepines for sleep. My new doctor looked at my chart, that was sent over ( finally) , from Dr. Roa’s office, and frankly said, “A person should never be prescribed two different Benzodiazepines, to be administered at the same time! This is not good medicine”! Beware of Dr. Rhadika Roa!
Dr. Rao was almost always very late seeing me. First time I had to wait about an hour & a half. Called exchange twice when I had bad side effects to medicine; she never called back.
Dr. Rao is a great doctor. I know there are many bad reviews but some people don't realize... She's not a therapist she is a psychiatrist. She's not very chatty. But she's straight to the point. The office staff is always very friendly and accommodating. I will say there are a lot of times where she is running behind schedule but I just assume that going into my appointments. I'm in and out in 5 minutes (not including the wait to get into her office) which is just fine for me. If you want someone to talk to you need to find a THERAPIST! She just gives meds!!!
HORRIBLE! Do not send any of your loved ones here.
Horrible Made me feel uncomfortable and felt judged for my medication doses

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
