I’ve been going to this group for a few years ever since I was advised to see a general care practitioner for my high blood pressure. I have always been impressed with them and have recommended them to others looking for doctors that are using common sense regarding Covid. I won’t be anymore after my last “visit” yesterday.I had a regularly scheduled visit and had had some minor nasal congestion and a dry throat that led to a small cough nothing major. I knew it could be attributed to the weather based on my history. I had Covid in December and didn’t have any of the symptoms I had then. When asked if I had had a Covid “injection” I said that I hadn’t and the receptionist sounded extremely disappointed and honestly judgmental. I was honest when doing my screening and asked to sit and wait.The receptionist then said that they wanted me to wait in my car after I had been in the waiting room already to be swabbed for Covid. I knew that wasn’t what it was and wasn’t going to waste time in my car in 85degree weather especially to take a test that has been proven to give a lot of false positives. I started to say that I had had Covid and knew what to look for and before I could say the second half of my sentence the other receptionist piped up and snarkily said that people could get it twice. I finally just told them to cancel my appointment and left before I could fly off the handle.One reason I went to this appointment was to ask about anxiety and depression I have acquired since having Covid and denying my an appointment when I had a mask on anyway denied me treatment I need. This same facility told me back in December that they usually don’t test for one or two minor symptoms unless they can’t be treated at home. What changed?I will be looking for another doctor. The nurses and doctor here are great but I can’t handle the receptionist’s attitudes. If you can’t handle a person having the sniffles don’t work at a medical facility.
