Sheila Eileen Drnec's Online Review Report Card

I was reffered here by the VA because of large cysts on my ovaries, lower obdominal pain, and bladder control issues. I had an appt with Dr. Drnec. She spoke to me very nice, was very thorough, told me her diagnosis and said I needed surgery to remove the cysts, endometriosis, and sling my bladder. I explained the severe, debilitating pain I had been in for months. She said I would be contacted in a few days for a surgery date. When I signed in they made me show my private insurance even though it was a paid refferal through the VA. For some reason they didn't have that paperwork yet. Fast forward two weeks I message about a surgery date because I haven't received a call and I am in so much pain. I am told I need a well woman exam and there are issues with OR scheduling. I get the well woman exam, I again ask about the surgery and am told I will be contacted. We are now 3 months in of me sleeping with a heating pad, missing work, some days not able to get out of bed since seeing her. I message, her nurse messages back you need to see another doctor, I keep messaging until I get a message from Dr. Drnec saying you need to see a surgeon instead of someone who mostly delivers babies. Well this is not what your video says on your website. So now I have a new refferal to Barnes and I will hopefully have surgery soon. It is now 5 months since my first visit with this office and I am sitting here on pain meds, barely able to walk to the bathroom at the moment without being hunched over like a 110 year old woman, I have my heating pad on, and tears in my eyes. My question is... Are you incompetent, or is this the because the VA doesn't pay as much as my private insurance would have? Thank you for not just saying on my first visit I cannot treat you.

She is the only doctor who took me seriously. I spent 2 hours at my appointment and I don’t mind one bit. She listened to me, and instantly came up with a game plan. I wish I would have come to her sooner.

Dr. Drnec took ample time during my first appointment to understand my symptoms and my medical history. She was very compassionate and thorough. She fully explained her recommendations on how to treat my condition and the next steps. I feel very fortunate to have found her after another gynecologist misdiagnosed my symptoms. Her treatment resolved my problems and explained next steps if I have any further issues. I truly appreciate Dr. Drnec and highly recommend her. In addition, The office staff are friendly, compassionate and helpful. It appears they are treated well because they in turn treat patient so well.

Dr. Drnec delivered 2 of my 3 babies. And, I wish she would have delivered my first! She’s extremely caring, informative and always made me feel important not like just “another patient”. I’ve recommended her to several friends and family.

Dr. Drnec is amazing! From the very beginning of our pregnancy it was clear that she wanted what was best for our family, taking in to account and supporting our wishes. When we lost our baby girl at 35 weeks, we could not have asked for a better doctor than Dr. Drnec. She has been incredibly supportive, anyone would be lucky to have Dr. Drnec as their doctor.

I absolutely love Dr Drnec and recommend her to everyone. She has been my OB for a few years and delivered my daughter. The entire office staff is amazing as well.
