List of Kenneth Richard Kilian's Reviews
My mother went to Dr Kilian for years . She was very sick and was taking more pain pills than she should. She had a hard time with her oxygen level. When she had low oxygen she would not have enough oxygen to her brain. She would hallucinate because of it. They sent her to Mental Health. . Made her go to a pain pill doctor were she had to pee to get her pain pills. She complained she was in a lot of pain. . She was 76 years old. She died of stage 4 lung cancer it had spread to her liver abdomen and lower back. She died. She went to Mercy hospital in Festus the Er with problems. They never caught it either. I would not recommend
He's had a RN and a associate dr leave his practice recently, handled the switchover terribly. It's impossible to get ahold of him directly, he randomly cancels appointments through MyMercy without a call, and is terrible about approving refills.
I had to change physicians after seeing the same one for 30+ years and Dr. Kilian was recommended. I have been very happy with the switch. He gives me his undivided attention, is knowledgeable and has been extremely easy to work with. He doesn't order unnecessary tests and is aware of my insurance coverage or lack of coverage. I highly recommend this physician!
Hes amazing takes his times with his patients
Dr. Kilian was very through but his staff was of no help I contacted his office four or five times of a weeks period to get test results and they were of no help it took me calling the facility where I had my x-rays done to contact this office with the results, which was done on the same day it took another three calls to get the test results. The nurse that I spoke to on several occasions was extremely rude and unprofessional.
Dr. Kilian has been my physician for several years. He is interested in my health and takes time to assess me and help me. I would, and have, recommend him to anyone needing a primary physician.
Dr. Kilian told me I should get aggressive and seek further diagnosis immediately rather than waiting 3 more months for another cat scan, which my oncologist said to do, considering my history of breast cancer. I did what he said and saw an oncologist surgeon. That doctor did a neele biopsy and was told 3 days later the cancer was back. It was found in my bones in lymph nodes after my oncologist sent me for a PET scan. Had I waited 3 months, may have gotten a lot worse. I think he is very thorough.
I switched to Dr. Kilian after being with the same Dr. for 30 years. He is very attentive and spent 45 minutes with me on my initial visit, he is easy to talk to and thorough. I like his staff also. T. Lowe
The receptionist Nadine was extremely rude. She is definitely not a nurse and thinks she can diagnose you over the phone. She talks to you like your an idiot. The Doctor is a complete joke. He makes you come out with all kinds of unessary things to do. He is very weird and makes you feel uncomfortable.
I had to change primary care Doctors because Dr. Kilian started acting like a dictator to me, and telling me if I did NOT follow his instructions and protocol, that I should probably find another PC Doc. Well, little did he know that I already did. From day one of seeing this guy, I have had problems with that office. I have to have regular blood draws to get my INR and PT levels checked. There has been as long a period of time as 13 days before they got back with me, and that was ONLY when I called them. Now, that in itself, had I had a blood clot, would have been enough for a law suit. But, now, since I told him that I was not going to increase the warfarin because I felt so bad on it, that's when his attitude changed. Funny how he didn't seem the least bit concerned about it before, and it's been at a much much lower level than what the last blood test showed. The office personnel are incompetent, they don't call you back for long periods of time, they don't answer the phone and was told by an office employee that "oh, they weren't seeing patients that day and so they shut the phone off. What? The Lab where I go, sent them over two faxes, telling them that my standing order for blood draws had expired and they didn't hear back from them. The morning I went, and only then, did they say they "just" received it when I called them. That was a lie, I know it was, because they have lied before in the past. I trust the gal at the lab much more than this office. Never do you talk to the Dr. personally, and the gals at the office couldn't even tell me what the PT level was. There have been several times where I told THEM the "scoop" on things, that's how little they know. All these months have been nothing but a big joke as far as I am concerned and not only is this Dr. and office incompetent, but they could actually care less about patients and it's all about the money. IF they were so concerned, would they not get back to me within a day or two after the blood draw? I know for a fact that the Lab sends the info to them immediately after results, which is usually a day or less. As I said, I have had to call THEM and that's not my job, and I have waited long periods in between blood draws before I got results. By then, it was time for another blood draw. Now, does this sound like a concerned Dr.? I believe that he thinks if I don't take this rat poison in HIS prescribed doses, that he could get in trouble and be sued if I had a blood clot. However, it is MY choice to NOT take a higher dose, so I'd be the responsible one. As I mentioned above, he should have been more worried if I got a blood clot when they didn't report to me the results of the test and or give me instructions. NO WAY would I recommend him to anyone. I am not a Dr., but I would think it was very important to keep up with someone on blood thinners? Are there any good Dr's out there anymore or all they all just concerned with how much money they can make?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
