Ami Edwards's Online Review Report Card

In too much pain to spend 12-13 hours on my feet at work as a floor nurse. MD will not complete release to go back to work. Felt like she ignored my own assessment of my pain, and said I could work when I was in excruciating pain, and could barely walk. Multiple doses/rounds of steroids with no consideration of my current health issues (I am diabetic and steroids increase blood sugar levels). MD refuses to complete paperwork for leave request which could jeopardize my job r/t absences. Too rushed. Not a frequent flyer, here. Only 4 visits this entire year, for being ill. Other visits were for required labs and med-checks. Just felt like she had no compassion or regard for my current situation.

Doctor was 30 min late to the appointment then rushed through it without listening to all my concerns. Office should tell new patients that this Dr does not help treat for mental illness which requires controlled medicine, even when you've had the same prescription for years. She will refer you to a psychiatrist. Office needs renovation. Overall bad experience and I would not go back.

Dr. Edwards is very friendly and professional. She treats me with respect and makes me feel comfortable. The staff is also very nice.

Dr. Ami Edwards always listens to me and treats me with respect. She takes her time and never makes me feel like she is in a hurry. She is good at treating what she knows which is quite a lot, and refers when necessary.

I am a 59 year old fat guy! I began having unexplained chest pains when I walked briskly or rode a bike. It seemed to hit with a heart rate of 113. I went to 5 separate doctors in an attempt to find the issue. I had a heart catheter showing no reason for the chest pain. I was then apparently non-important to them. When I came to see Dr. Edwards, she was very attentive, putting notes into a computer initially. Then she turned to me and said we will find this!. She then began asking more detailed questions. The long and short of it is, Dr. Edwards took the time to try things that narrowed the problem. Now I am pain free to this point. I highly recommend her! Give her a chance she will help!

She is great, listens, asks questions, gives you options. Have recommended my step daughter, mother in law, brother and niece. and a great niece. We all love her.

Horrible doctor. Always referring me out to specialists and you better not have any major conditions cause she will just send you out.

Palmetto Family Medicine center is disgusting and cluttered. I feel gross touchingly anything in the office, the nurse and do not wear scrubs and look unprofessional. On every nurse was using a siringe without gloves 2 feet in from the of me, burn for another patient. I'm not in the medical field, but I certainly know that is unsanitary. I waited in the office for 45minutes until the doctor saw me, I would never recommend Thisbe office.

Having to get a new doctor since mine has left her practice. My first visit with DR. Edwards was disappointing. No introduction made, seemed to pay more attention to typing notes into computer and getting onto next appointment than taking the time to meet a new patient. A friendly face is not all it's cracked up to be. : ( Still looking !!!!!!!

My wife and I went online to find a new Doctor after nightmares with our last one. We read some of the reviews for Dr. Ami Edwards and decided to give her a try. We both went in to our initial appointment together and were pleasantly surpised. Ami has been our doctore ever since. He follow up is unbeleiveable for instance, when was the last time you were called by the Doctor themselves on a Fridfay after 5 just to give you a follow up information of a non-vital issue. Ami does this, so does her staff. And if she is not available, Doc Williams steps in and he is almost as amazing. The 2 of them are like night and day in there charactor, but I could not find a better match of care. We ador Ami and would never think of changing doctors.
