List of Dr. Gregory A. Markway's Reviews
Dr. Gregory Markway is the best family doctor around!
My only complaint is - he is retiring May 31. He was wonderful with my elderly mother and has cared for my husband, and myself for about 45 years and my children til they moved out of town. His office staff is also great. I will miss Julie (his RN )as much as I miss Dr Markway. We are so sorry he is retiring but happy he will have time to spend with family.
Dr. Markway is kind, caring, listens, explains, takes the time, has a great sense of humor, is proactive, excellent memory, genuine and genuinely concerned for your health and overall wellbeing, has the answers you need the places to start and the results you never thought you'd find. Nothing but pure gratitude for the crossed path. 🌟 🌞 🤘
My wife and I have been with Dr. Markway for many years now. We LOVE him! So when he moved to MDVIP from his previous practice, we followed him. Dr. Markway is very thorough and thoughtful. He carefully keeps up with the newest technology, and knows the ins and outs of all the various medical conditions my wife and I have, keeping a constant eye on our needs. MDVIP gives him more time to devote to each of his patients individually. If we have an issue over a weekend that we think can’t wait until Monday morning, we are able to communicate with him directly. It also gives him more time to devote to our wellness in addition to our illness. Nutrition, exercise, and vaccinations are all encouraged and explained. Dr. Markway’s the best!
I love Dr. Markway and his staff. They always make everything so easy and most of all personable. They care about their patients. They treat you with respect and you feel comfortable and well cared for. I and my family have been with Dr. Markway for roughly 30 yrs. I can't see us going anywhere else.
I have been able to see the doctor on short notice. My doctor even returned a call to me when I was out of town. The office staff is very friendly and helpful.
Dr. Markway is very thorough and takes time that is necessary to explain so I understand what is at issue and potential resolution of the problem. His staff are friendly, competent, and always quick to respond to phonecalls. In fact, I am always floored when Dr. M answers the phone! I have never had a doctor who will share phone duty so that staff can have adequate time away from their duties or on weekends. I recently REconnected with Dr. Markway due to needing a dr closer to home after a move from KC. He was a relatively new doctor in the late 80s when we started going to him (different location). My daughter was about age 14 and she is now 48. He diagnosed her with "juvenile rheumatoid arthritis" which was never mentioned by ensuing doctors, but never forgotten by me. I think the company that supplied the initial insurance (1990s) changed providers and we could no longer stay with his practice. Fast forward about 20 years and even with a diagnosis of Lupus, her JRA still went either undetected or untreated. Only recently was she made aware of RA due to pain and swelling in joints, specifically hands and shoulders. She currently has a wonderful GP, so she won't be switching, but I have never forgotten that Dr. Markway detected the component that allowed him to diagnose her JVA so early. The only drawback to his practice is that he is signed up with a "concierge" group which is very costly. Typically, I would see my former GP an average of 2-4x/yr. So, now I have to break down the cost per visit and after 5 visits (high for me) the annual cost of the MDVIP enrollment, NOT an insurance reimbursible, breaks down to an additional $350 per visit for me, in addition to the office visit fee that is billed to my insurance company. Of course, if I see him 4 more times within my year of enrollment, the cost lowers to $200 additional per office visit. However, I don't feel as if the benefit of requiring the concierge medicine is worth the cost. An annual exam and testing is a freebie through Medicare, so if I were to leave, it would be because of the additional "vip" expense and nothing to do with Dr. M's methods or practice. I think that finding a doctor as close to me that will accept a new patient may be difficult with stressed patients looking for doctors who do not require concierge enrollment due to the cost.
The most caring and thorough doctor imaginable. His staff is also on top of their game.
Excellent consultation and care
I don't worry about health concerns. I know Dr Markway is just a phone call away and will be available when I need him. Some of my friends have to wait a week or more to make an appointment with their doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
