List of J.P. Mcaleer's Reviews
Dr. McAleer did my Lapiplasty procedures (both feet). I’m thrilled with the outcome. He was great at explaining to me the surgery and the recovery. I felt that I was in the best hands to have this done. I’m back to exercise and I don’t have pain anymore. Im able to fit into all of my shoes and I now have normal sized feet! So much better than having the surgery done a different way.
Dr. McAleer did an amazing job in handling and treating my daughter’s feet. My daughter is a young dancer and his therapies work to alleviate her pain.
Dr. McAleer did his lapiplasty on my foot early 2019 to repair a bunion. Subsequent appointments consisted of X-rays every single follow up appointment, which seemed excessive. I was promised that I would be walking on it in 6 weeks, which was UNTRUE. Took about 6 months to walk without pain. The bottom of my foot still feels like I am stepping on something that I shouldn’t. The toe adjacent to my big toe is still numb three plus years later, and started rotating toward the big toe, rather than the strap pulling. I regret this surgery more than anything in my life. Run away, while you still can!
Mcaleer was supposed to remove my bunion. The bunion is still there & my big toe is totally immobile. He blamed me for my pain. I cannot (2 years later) wear shoes yet only sandals! Never use him. Very DEFENSIVE AGGRESSIVE manner. The office staff was excellent.
Dr. Mcaleer performed a bone spur removal procedure on my 11 year old daughter, in which he handled effectively, efficiently, and with extreme care! Thanks!
Surgery for a lapiplasty which was only partially done. The doctor also"added on a lengthening of the Achilles tendon. Five and 1/2 months later still in considerable pain and cannot wear any shoes, only a sandal. Not a fan.
Dr. McAleer performed surgery on both of my big toes, and I am pleased with the results. I found him to be very personable, and took time to address all my concerns. I would recommend him to my friends and family.
Terrible bedside manner.
I have pain issues w my feet and Dr Mcleer has been very helpful. He doesn’t rush you and he always smiles
I am representing my son in this review. This morning I had an follow up appointment with DR. MCALEER at 10:30am. We arrived at the office at 10:15am they called us back at 10:20am. We sat in the office waiting and waiting for the doctor to come in and I even asked how much longer it was going to be twice. I was told just a few minutes both times that I asked. At 11:15 am he still had not come into see my son, at that point I walked out of the office. I also told them I was going to call my insurance company to make sure that they could not charge me for the visit because my son was never seen. Will not be going back to him again. Its funny cause if I had been late they would have not seen my son but if they are late its no problem. I scheduled the appointment at 10:30am so my son could get back to school and have lunch but since we waited for over 45 minutes and still didn't get seen he missed school for no reason and missed his lunch time. So I would not recommend you see him unless you plan on waiting over an hour after your appointment time. This also happened to my fiancee we just thought we would give him a second chance well now I see we shouldn't have done that. I now will be calling another podiatrist for my son follow up appointment.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
