The doctors have been friendly but usually seem in a rush to get out the door. I had X-rays done, no one ever read them. Most of the time when I call there is no answer. Most of the doctors are so loaded down with patients you can’t get an appointment in a timely manner and they will tell you just to go to urgent care or ER. The answer to everything is meds. The healthcare system is broken and the VA is right there with the rest of them! It’s soooo difficult to get a provider that wants to or is willing to provide care. Shame on the VA. Our veterans are NOT treated with care. The provider that was wonderful retired and it has been a struggle to receive care (besides being told to go to ER) since.

Always friendly.. Appointments in timely manner. Doctors seem to genuinely care. I had regular insurance with medical care when I worked.. the VA Center beats that care hands down. Great job Jefferson City VA Clinic !!

Typical govt workers. Called. It VA in Columbia and they transferred me to Jefferson City clinic. Rang 20+ times until phone hung up. Nobody answered. No voicemail. No nothing. Not impressed as usual dealing with VA. It is 2021.....point proven. Took you how many years to finally answer me????? And I left state so thanks anyway.

If you have injuries that result Chronic pain, do not waste your time. Dr Debra Ann Atkinson labeled me with opioid abuse disorder even though she told me she knows I don’t have that, and I only found out that she labeled me with that by requesting my medical records from the VA directly. I am now unable to receive any type of medical treatment with regards to pain management due to the release of information containing that flag she put on my record, and they never offered any real pain management solutions. They believe Pain is all psychological, which confirms they do not know what they are talking about and have never been through what anyone with chronic pain has been through and can tell you. No wonder the veteran suicide rates are through the roof, You all are telling them that the injuries and resulting pain they sustained while serving our country is all in their head, which is entirely false and the VA should be ashamed. YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!!!
