Jodi Berendzen's Online Review Report Card

I saw this doctor for reproductive issues I was having. She was dismissive and blamed my symptoms on me being overweight. Which was being contributed by a pancreas and liver issue at the time. I've been in severe pain each month and it was found in a CT scan and in an ultrasound that I have a large cyst on my ovary. I was referred to her again and my doctor set the appointment up a few days ago. Her office called today to schedule it and I told them I already have one, which much to their surprise, they found the appointment. The communication is lacking. The bedside manner is dismissive. And the reception is rude. Do with that what you will.

I moved from out of town so i needed to find a new OBGYN to see quickly when we found out we were pregnant. Dr. Berendzen was available and looked to have a solid reputation so I went with her. Although the nursing staff was GREAT, Dr. Jodi was underwhelming at best. We had a sub-chronic hemorrhage when we saw her which she stated was a pretty good chance we would have a miscarriage so just keep up your day to day life. We were surprised to not go on restriction. A month later when I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, I was scared but the Doctors there reassured us, advised us to go on restriction, were surprised we already we not, and told us to follow up with our Doctor. We did as soon as I was discharged from the hospital and we never received a call back. We had a ultrasound already scheduled 3 days later so we kept it thinking we would hear something then from Dr Jodi as she was there. We asked the staff if they received our message, they said yes. Again, no discussion with the Dr. No follow up. Nothing. We felt like we didn’t matter. That is not how you are supposed to feel at a Doctors office. The nurse who did our ultrasound was great!! But the Dr was not. If you want someone who actually cares about you I think you should look elsewhere

I had switched to Jodi at 33 weeks in my pregnancy after capital region screwed me over. She was up front and honest with me about all of my pregnancy and she made me feel so comfortable. She reassured me and listened to all of my concerns. She asked me what I wanted to do and never pressured me. She gave me her advice and listened to my decisions. She made me feel like she really cared about mine ...

She is one of the best. I highly recommend her. Her beside manner is phenomenal and she actually takes the time to listen.

Dr. Berendzen is very friendly and I feel comfortable working with her! She is more than welcome to answer any questions that I have, however, as I am seeing her for my first pregnancy I wish she would be more informative on what to expect. If I don’t ask it is not discussed.

I didn’t but, my daughter did and this doctor is wonderful! I recommend her highly!

Dr. Berendzen is very attentive and never makes you feel rushed. She will answer all your questions and give you multiple options for treatment. I feel she works as a team with her patients to do what is good for them and what she thinks is best for them.

She didn't ask me any questions about my pregnancy. She didn't give me any knowledge of what was happening with my pregnancy. She didn't stay in the room with me for more than 2 mins each visit. Don't go to her
