Dr. Despair is the only doctor who knew I had Psoriasis Arthritis of the nails. Went 20+ years with damaged & missing nails, with his treatment plan they are healing & look almost normal.

Dr. Despain was very kind and offered excellent medical care. He explained everything in detail and even called me on a Sunday to discuss by pathology results. I could not have asked for a more caring doctor to take care of me. I highly recommend him for any dermatology issues.

I have been seeing Dr. D for 25 years! I first saw him in Kansas City, then followed him to Springfield (he was worth the 1+ hr drive) and now he's in Jeff City (where I have retired) and he continues to provide me with counseling in my skincare, help aging anomalies that pop up, plus everything else under the sun! Dr. D is on time, and if he isn't it is because he's providing in-depth care to others as he does to me.

I saw Dr. Despain twice. He is very professional and friendly. I appreciated him so much because he helped me with a very difficult health matter. Another dermatologist and the dermatology clinic in Columbia MO dissapointed me greatly. I wished I would have found this doctor earlier.

Overall great experience on both visits. Staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. DeSpain took his time answering my questions about a chest lesion (and gave the recommendation to have it removed. It turned out to be a pre-cancerous basal cell carcinoma), shave excision for facial nevi, and laser/IPL reduction. I don’t plan on going anywhere else for my dermatology needs. Gina

I have been extremely please with each visit with Dr. DeSpain, very through, pleasant, explains everything. My wife and I both am following him from Columbia, we live in N.E. Missouri and he is well worth the drive.

I recently contracted with Despain for a (non-insured) derma procedure. While treatments were in progress I found the contract was not as I had understood it to be--it was going to cost me twice as much as I had believed. I was shocked and expressed this to the technician. I tried for several days to reach someone in the office for an explanation, or at least a discussion. They ignored my calls and I have had to go elsewhere for the work. My advice: Do not believe their treatment quotes.

Went to Despain for a tattoo removal. Worked with Julie. They were so professional & accomidating, they worked around my crazy work schedule and had me in & out in 30 minutes!!!! AWSOME customer service. Pricing is much cheaper than I expected and hurts way less than I thought it would. I will recommend Despain to anyone I run into in the future who could use their services!! I think he's a GREAT doctor and very knowledgable. I went in to see him when I got LUPUS 25 years ago. I had went to 7 doctors before him (even Dermatologists) and they didn't know what I had. I had a BUTTERFLY RASH on my face. After losing 50 pounds and having the rash all over me and I was dying, I went to him hoping to get help. He took one look at me and said "ORDER LUPUS TESTS". If not for him I would be dead! Thank You Doctor Despain!!
