Jonathan Craighead's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Craighead has done rotator cuff surgery on both my wife and myself as well as hip replacement on my wife. We would never consider going to anyone else. He is an excellent surgeon, wonderful bedside manners and he does not do a procedure just to do it. He does what is best for the patient. We could not be happier with the outcome of our procedures.

Dr. Craighead is amazing. He is caring, compassionate and discusses your options with you.

Dr. Craighead replaced my right hip last June and I was walking 15 minutes after I woke up! A month later I was driving. A year later it's like new! Very caring, very professional. Highly recommended.

Until recently, I was under the impression that Dr. Craighead was an excellent doctor. My personal opinion of him has DRASTICALLY changed! My fiance recently suffered an injury at work and was sent to Dr. Craighead for treatment for Worker's Comp. I was happy at first. This was mid Nov. 2018. Here we are first of April 2019 and Dr. Craighead has basically dismissed our case. Upon review of the medical records & MRI discs, he was not thorough in reviewing the radiologists findings. Now, we have to travel 250+ miles to STL for a second opinion, to another doctor of their choosing. I HIGHLY do NOT recommend Dr. Jonathan Craighead.

I had knee replacement surgery on 12-4-17 and the op went great, I had ZERO pain after surgery but once the epidural wore off, the pain started to become excruciating, I was sent home and given a total of 120 PERCOCET (5-325) and that was it! I was told by the nurse there will be no more refills ! I used my last PERCOCET yesterday, and I am still in a significant amount of pain, the nurse finally agreed to give me a prescription for TRAMADOL, but this does not control my pain at all and gives me an upset stomache. I am trying everything I can (from acupuncture to massages and zen meditation) to control my pain, but it is not working, needless to say I am very disappointed in Dr. Craighead's approach to pain management after major surgery, I understand the issue with the opioid crisis, but there is nothing in my background that would indicate addiction issues ( I had my other knee replaced 4 years ago by a different Dr. who retired) and I do expect my pain to be adressed without having to beg for it ! I feel that this shows a serious lack of compassion and understanding of the serious impact pain has on your quality of life.

Dr. Craighead has done knee replacements for both my knees this year. I have been seeing him for a few years after having been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis. In the beginning I didn't feel surgery was my best option and discussed this with him. Opted to do SynVisc injections but when they stopped working I knew it was time for replacements. Dr. Craighead advised me over the years of the options and let me make the final decision. He and his staff are absolutely great during surgery, hospital care, office appointments, everything. I can't praise him high enough for his kindness and abilities. I will recommend him to anyone that needs orthopedic surgery.

Two years ago I had an ACL MCL meniscus injury. He was supposed to fix everything. Now with knee issues I've gone to three other doctors and they all say He did not do surgery correctly. So now I have to have my ACL fixed by a competent surgeon.

the staff was robotic and not engaging. Dr. Craighead did not spend much time with me.

He takes the time to listen to my complaints about what ails me, his nurse, Carol, calls and follows up and always wants the best for me.

I had a hip replacement a year ago....and am VERY pleased with my care under Dr Craighead and staff. I find both him and his staff....to include the receptionists...to be friendly, responsive, professional, and caring. Carol, his chief nurse, is alone worth her weight in gold. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Dr Craighead to others. Why should I? He gave me back my ability to walk without pain! By the way, Dr Craighead is a practicing Christian and definitely "walks the talk."
