List of Thomas Schneider's Reviews
The best doctor you'll ever find anywhere.
Dr Thomas Schneider has been my doctor for the past 15 years. I have had absolutely no problems with him whatsoever. He takes the time to listen, he takes the time to answer questions, he takes the time to go over all test results with you and has a perfect bedside manor when you are hospitalized. He visits you regularly every day every night and never fails to keep in touch with you and inform you of any and all changes that he has made whether it is your care or your medications.. I would highly recommend Dr Thomas Snyder to any and everyone.
I take my grandparents to this doctor regularly and I wish they would find someone else. Today's appointment was scheduled for 12:15 but they weren't called back until after 12:45. Then, when we do see him, his answer to any concern seems to be, "well, you're getting old."
My husband went in for his initial visit with Dr. Schneider with much pain, discomfort and lack of sleep. We liked Dr. Schneider immediately as he listened and showed extreme patience as I interrupted many times to make sure he got all of the signs and symptoms. The treatment he prescribed gave almost immediate relief. By the next morning my husbands pain was gone and he got a full nights sleep. Bedside manner is secondary to getting relief but Dr. Schneider had a very good "bedside manner" He is very attentive and has compassion and brains to boot. My husband is happy to have Dr. Schneider as his new PCP.
Interaction with the office is horribly unprofessional. The person answering the phone was rude, hateful and demanding to the point she needed to be taken down for it. Just because you are the provider's wife doesn't give you carte blanche to order other staff, speak in a condescending tone and be rude. WAKE UP. You are in customer service even if you don't know it. At least make the attempt to be professional.
2nd visit after CT scan and breathing test was diagnosed with IPF. Husband asked what was the progression and pattern of the disease. Response: 3-5 year life expectancy. That was not a professional way to answer the question as we had NO idea it was that serious. An explanation of the why the disease progresses and a more gentle approach would have been best. More breathing testing done. Saw him yesterday for follow up. Rude, did not like questions, told us WE TOOK AN HOUR of his time at the last visit, and if we did not like his answer to the question DON'T ASK! I told the doctor there would have been a better way of explaining the disease other than telling a patient on the 2nd visit they were going to die in 3-5 years! Other feedback for this doctor has shown to be the same as our experience. We are seeking another doctor in the area as well as Duke. We do not know if his diagnosis is accurate so I can't give feedback on that. However in 3 office visits there was only 1 other patient in his office the entire time - tells me he's possibly not so great!
Arrogant, unhelpful, unwilling to answer questions. In a hurry to rush me out of his office and irritated when asked to explain MRI results.
Dr. schneider is an excellent doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
