List of Elizabeth M. Barlet's Reviews
She has been my OB for both of my children. I think she's amazing, the best in my opinion. She's very nice and anytime I had a worry she would take her time to make sure everything was okay and that I had a safe delivery and healthy babies. I would recommend and have!
Dr. Barlet has restored my faith in the medical world. Shes so kind, her bedside manner as well as her knowledge and expertise bypassed my expectations at every single visit. I used to hate going to the ob because I felt like i was not listened to, but Dr. Barlet was so patient and listened to me through the tears. She joked with me as things got better. I really feel like theyre are not words good enough to describe her as a doctor as well as a human being.
I only saw her maybe 2 times before having my child. My labor was very uncomfortable and I felt like she didn't have respect for me as a person.
I have contemplated on writing a review. But my son is now about to be 3. I was super comfortable with barlet and her nurses. She did diagnose me with high blood pressure. Which later I found out she prescribed me the smallest dose possible. And that my blood pressure was fine. Since she diagnosed me with high blood pressure I got ultrasounds every week in my third trimester. When I was 36 weeks I had my ultrasound like normal, and went into her office like normal. That day she told me she wanted to schedule a c section. She told me this because my sons head hadn’t dropped yet, but he was head down. I was an collegiate athlete and this was my first child, so I believed my body would do what it needed to be done to he be a vaginal birth. I rejected the scheduled c section. Barlet then looked at my husband and I and said well I will not do an emergency c section if you need it. I was instant distraught! I walked out of her office in tears. I immediate changed hospitals and doctors.
Bartlett and her CNM, Jill, were my specialists for 2 years. I came to them with an issue I’d been suffering with for three years prior. Jill told me to “tough it out” and Bartlett diagnosed me before getting results back from a simple PAP. I went to a specialists group in Joplin and have been diagnosed correctly and treated since.
Doesn't listen to you about previous history, won't talk to you on the phone, makes nurses do communication
Wow! I cannot believe the standard of care from this doctor. She was late to the appointment by 45 minutes and didn't apologize. She was irritated that I was asking questions. She acted as if I shouldn't be asking her anything and should just trust every word out or her mouth. She had no bedside manner and I left feeling horrible. In my 30+ years of life, I have NEVER been to a doctor's appointment that went this bad!
I'm not sure how I fit in the room with this doctor and her ego. After receiving my diagnosis and trying to figure out treatment options, I was asking questions about alternative treatment. You would've thought that my questioning her was against the law. I was told what she would do for me and then when I brought my own research to the table I was told that she would only do what she had told me or would terminate my care. I left and chose a doctor who listened and wasn't afraid of my questions
Very rude and doesn't read patient charts before entering room, lady at check in desk awful as well
I have seen Dr. Barlet twice once for a laparoscopic Procedure and now for a hysterectomy and she explained everything for me to understand. She took her time in making sure I was comfortable with everything. She answered every question I had for her in a way that I could understand with out all the physician terminology of words. I am just one very proud patient of hers and her team here in Carthage Mercy hospital

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
