List of Hugh L. Lacey's Reviews
Dr Lacey has delivered all 3 of my little babes. I had very different pregnancies with each one of my babies and Dr Lacey always made me feel as though he cared deeply for me and my babies. He was always kind and polite as well as all the nurses in his office. He is funny and I’m sarcastic and so we got along well. I was placed on bedrest with my 3rd baby for 16 weeks and he got me through every step of the way. I LOVE DR LACEY! I will never use anyone else.
Terrible experience twice with my pregnancies. Wouldn’t take the time to listen to me and resulted in harm to myself and babies. Also disrespectful to my mother. Don’t trust this “doctor”.
At the age of 82 I never thought I would be needing a gynecologist. I was terrified to say the least. This doctor took the time to show compassion and understanding I couldn’t thank him enough for helping me though a difficult time. Very professional but caring. He explained everything in detail to me. A wonderful down to earth doctor
I've gone to Dr Lacey's office for years and always saw susan. The office staff was always friendly and helpful and made me feel very comfortable. This all changed when I became pregnant and had to start seeing Dr Hugh Lacey. He made me very uncomfortable and spoke to me in a demeaning tone. Was not empathetic towards me at all about my food aversion and constant vomiting I even the thought of food. He told me that I'm a grown up and it's my responsibility to take care of myself and wasn't going to do anything to help me until I specifically asked him to at least prescribe me zofran. He did provide that prescription to me but I chose to go to a different OB and hire a team of midwives so that I could have my dream of a home water birth, which doctor Lacey had told me was very dangerous because babies can't breathe underwater. After my delivery I went back to Dr Lacy's office to have an ingrown hair checked out and he barged in and the first thing he said was oh so you did have a baby. I informed him I had a home birth and he looked at me very angrily and then told me I should apologize for not continuing service with them. I just said okay instead of apologize. Throughout this appointment he asked me three times if I wanted birth control and each time I told him that I would like birth control but I wanted more info on them before making a decision. Instead of informing me on my options for birth control and what might be best for me he just continued to ask me "so do you want birth control or not" and then when I finally said no he looked at me angry again and said he couldn't hear me. After he left the room I got dressed and as I exited I thanked the staff and they wouldn't even look at me. I do wish I could continue services with Susan but I don't feel comfortable going back to this office again.
Dr. Lacey is amazing. I love how down you earth he is and his patient care is awesome. I love the whole staff there actually. Dr. Susan Lacey is excellent as well. I love seeing her when I go too.
Dr. Lacey has awful patient care. Does not listen to concerns and does not explain procedures or reasons for doing things. Does not look at patient as a person but just as a statistic. Do not go here if you want to feel like you matter and are in good hands!!!!
Saw Lacey because he was highly recommended. I am currently pregnant and am wanting a vbac. There is no medical reason for me not to have one. My first was sunnyside up. My first didnt turn and got stuck. Nothing to do with my hips or caring a big baby. Lacey made the comment that he couldn't guarantee a healthy pregnancy or baby. Also made a comment that because I am 200 lbs that I would more than likely have another c section. He couldn't even assure me that he would do everything in his power in helping me to achieve a vbac. He said he wasn't in the business to take care of weeping women and he would deliver the baby and that's it. His bedside manner is horrible. He did a vaginal ultrasound and didnt even talk me through it. He just did the exam. He didnt even tell me he was doing a pap. I had one done in January and was completely unnecessary. After the exam was done, he just left. I went to the front desk and the lady just schedule all my appointments and rushed me out the door. I was clearly upset but no one said anything. I cried all the way home. It was the worst. I was just a number. Some brood mare they were pushing through the system with no thoughts or feelings. Never again.
I felt like each time the doctor saw me he found a way to generally make me feel like a horrible person because I am overweight. And to top it off I am pregnant with my first child. So the experience that should leave me feeling good about myself because I genuinely thought I could not get pregnant has resulted in depression due to going and seeing this doctor. I have cancelled all future baby appt with him and will not continue my orental care here. So if you are overweight just seek a different doctor. I walked out crying from my last appt, absolutely no bedside manner.
Dr Lacey is wonderful! He saved my baby’s life. I loved the way he handled the situation when things got a bit dire, and I found his bedside manner to be lovely. He checked on us regularly after the birth in our hospital room, and rest assured he will be the one we go to for subsequent pregnancies. Sometimes during appointments he could seem a bit rushed (he’s a busy guy), but he always answered any questions and concerns I had, and we found him funny and easy to talk to about things. I loved all the nurses in there too, they’re lovely ladies
Saw dr. Lacey because he is highly recommended. I am currently pregnant and am wanting a vbac. There is no medical reason for me not to have one. He said that there was no guarantees for a healthy pregnancy or baby. He couldn't even assure me that he would do everything in his power in helping me to achieve a vbac. He did a vaginal ultrasound and didnt even talk me through it. He had me hop onto the table and he just did the exam. He didnt even tell me he was doing a pap. After the exam was done, he left. I went to the front desk and the lady just schedule all my appointments and rushed me out the door. I was clearly upset but no one said anything. I cried all the way home. It was the worst. I was just a number. Some brood mare they were pushing through the system.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
