Dr Pfeffer wants to, immediately, get to the root of the problem, & tries to make things happen, STAT. In order for insurance to cover anything there were several hoops & avenues I had to venture down. Dr Pfeffer moved quickly through the mandatory steps; although he wanted to go straight to the root. I appreciated his concern & patience with me as navigated through difficult insurance requirements & my pain. He and his team went above & beyond.

He's very unprofessional in my opinion(doctor).He showed little compassion and had a horrible bedside manner.(example) When I was in terrible pain I asked him to set up an MRI, first thing outta his mouth was "will ur insurance cover it" why would a doc worry more about cost instead of the patient. I went to have a second opinion turns out I have Sciatica from hip to foot on right side. I recieved a letter from him yesterday stating he was no longer my doctor. Good riddance is my thoughts, he never did anything for me just wrote out scripts. My last comment, thoughts,is that he's very uncaring, aren't doc's suppose to truthful honest & show just a little compassion

It has been said that for every one person who takes the time to write a comment there are 20 others who feel the same way but will say nothing. I have only good things to say about Joplin Primary Care. The staff is on top of everything & professional in every way. I feel confident they will help me with any question I have. Dr. Pfeffer is sharp, quick & notices everything. He listen & offers help & suggestions. He keeps good records & keeps track of how you are doing. I feel very lucky to have Joplin Primary Care working on my behalf & in my corner. Thank you for all the good & helpful work you do each day.

Dr. Pfeffer is very thorough and knowledgable. He is careful to tell me test and treatment options. I appreciate that he doesn't waste my time with chit-chat but is laser-focused on the concerns I have. I was shocked to read two negative comments that don't sound like Dr. Pfeffer. I often refer my clients (I'm a counselor) to Dr. Pfeffer if they need a PCP. I'd never do this if I had any concern about his skills and demeanor.

Unfortunately I never saw Dr. Pfeffer due to his bogus office policy of cancelling the appointment because I did not arrive 15 minutes early. I was a potential new patient, however Abby the receptionist called me as I was on my way to the appointment. She was very condescending and refused to work with me because I did not arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. She was stumped when I asked why I was not informed when I initially made the appointment that Dr. Pfeffer has a zero tolerance policy for not arriving 15 minutes early? Lol. Additionally, the receptionist talked to me like a child and said “we are willing to give you one more chance when we reschedule this appointment .” Overall, just poor training and customer service. Doctors are struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic and you are treating a new patient like this? Please take my advice and take your business somewhere else like I did, you deserve better!

Absolutely will not recommend this doctor. Because he failed to give me a proper exam, he missed my prostate cancer and based everything on my PSA levels. Guess what “Doc”. PSA levels are not a tell all. I may not be stage IV right now if you would have actually checked and not just put me on meds to shrink a cancerous prostate.

This guy does not read his files, referred me to another Dr fr sinus/ear issues. Then seemingly Forgot who he sent me to. Was not familiar with my file or his treatment given. Seems to me he should pre-read a file. Staff on phone after I hung up on his video chat treated me like crap lecturing me because I used the word DAMN... the girl had a melt down, told me to hang up when I didnt she terminated ...
