I've been going here since 2021, when I nearly died of heart failure, among other things. I've only met a couple people who weren't very nice, everyone else has been great.
1- worst ER , inefficient. doctors . 2- all about running tests not based on your complaints or you economic status . 3- running tons of tests for the sake of finding something wrong by accident not base on your complaints. 4- ruinning your credit by threatening you to pay thousands of money. or jail.
just got out today, staff was absolutely amazing! dr tucker had my best interest at heart and helped me through my episode and get the help i need, thank you !
PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR SAFETY. they do not care about you and are seemingly out to hurt you for insurance money purposes. (quick summary- they “forgot” one of my teeth, i choked on my own blood multiple times and they refused anesthetic and knowingly didn’t numb me completely on one side and ignored my screams of pain.) at my first consultation for my oral surgery, i explained i’ve had many surgeries since childhood that were traumatic and so i’d like to be put under anesthetic (like most people are) and i was told no and laughed at like a child because of a genetic mutation i have when i had 6 surgeries before this and my mutation has NEVER been a problem. the older white doctor talked to me like a child and laughed off every concern i had to the point i had a panic attack in the office and was then told i’m too old to cry and talked to like a child. oh, and the nurse joked about how he used to steal his sisters oxycontin after her wisdom tooth surgery. pretty professional huh? not to mention that everywhere i went the staff was acting loud and obnoxious and extremely unprofessional and openly talking bad about other staff and patients. i was told at the consultation, which my roommate heard, that i would be provided with laughing gas before the routine numbing shots to ease my anxiety that way i wouldn’t be having a panic attack the whole time. then on the day of my surgery i was laughed at and talked to like a child again and straight up got told no. and that if i wanted i could “inhale oxygen to make me feel better” which literally does NOTHING and he was laughing while saying it. my boyfriend was there for this time and can back up the way i was treated. mind you this was an extremely invasive and painful procedure for me because my teeth were in my nerve. then i get two different people, man and woman for my surgery. they keep trying to start the surgery while i’m mid panic attack. they also DID NOT numb my face all the way on the right side which i told them multiple times and they blatantly ignored me. i verbally said it many times and then cried and screamed while getting the teeth extracted on that side because i was trying to communicate how badly it hurt and i was ignored. the most i would get is an “okay, kylie.” this was the male doctor. the female doctor repeatedly sprayed water on my face, somehow got tooth on my face and somehow kept getting stuff on my forehead and laughing about it, and at one point i was choking on my own blood and spit and screaming/crying/coughing loudly for about 5 minutes and she refused to suck up any spit or anything and i was ignored yet again. to top it off- they “forgot” my upper left tooth knowing that i lose my health insurance on the first of next month which is only a few days away. these people only care about your money. please find somewhere else to go if you’re fortunate enough to do that. in the meantime i will be taking legal action for this. i can’t begin to describe how upset and baffled i am by the situation, and now i’m going to have a tooth i can’t afford to take out…
They have more bad reviews than you think.. they flag and delete bad reviews on other sites daily. They keep people from seeing the complaints because there are soo many.. You may think you're going to a Dr that is good and cares but they don't and if you try and warn people then they get rid of reviews.. it's not good for people's health.. I wouldn't recommend university health to anyone. at all.. it's not good health care.. I actually think it's bad for your health to be seen here. go somewhere else if you can.. take care of yourself and your family.. you're all important.. university health dental/ TMC dental clinic file a complaint with Missouri Dental board pr.mo.gov online. it effects them. they take complaints as far back as 7 years, but file ASAP if you've been mistreated.. pr.mo.gov
I had a small spot on my neck that needed attention. the treatment I received was pretty good. people were all very nice. my 20 minute appointment cost me $790. I expected to pay. and wouldn't have been surprised with a $300-400 bill. But come on. it just wasn't that involved. I feel somewhat mistreated by this system.
The billing department has no idea what they are doing. They’ve created multiple accounts for the same bill and tell a different story every time. Hopefully it’s incompetence rather than fraud.
if you have all day to wait this is the hospital for you! so far a hour past my appointment and they are seeing people who just walked in....
I had surgery there two years ago. I was an employee. There shouldn’t have been any charge as an employee. For two years now I have been fighting the billing department because when the resident put in the lab orders they put in the wrong billing code. I was being billed for labs related to the procedure. Now, instead of fixing the billing codes on the labs they changed the billing code in the procedure as well so I’m now being charged even more. I’ve dealt with the billing department every 6 months on this and they only make things worse. I should say that the managers over billing have only made things worse. Be wary of having any procedures at this facility! You can’t trust their billing!!!
Horrible! House of horrors! I am more depressed than when I entered. The unprofessionalism is out of this world never have I been gaslit and ghosted by a therapist who demanded to piss in my mouth for almost a year and tell me it was raining. There is no accountability they will hang you out to dry and don’t try calling they will block your number effectively. I’ve called from my number been on hold for hours and then sent to voice mail with no return to my message. I called from another phone and it was picked up. They don’t want to help. You are a dollar sign and they make sure they get you to a certain level of feeling ok and then they drop you like hot grits and any promise they made for help goes out the window. It’s disgusting. You all should be ashamed. You do the opposite of prevent suicide. My attempts have increased over double last year total and we’re only 25 days in. I don’t even know where you find these “mental health professionals.” Again you should all be ashamed. Bring water bottles because hell is hot. BETH the least you could do is have the decency to quit instead of leaving me out to dry and going back on promises you made.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
