Dr. Barthel is the best Endocrinologist I've had since needing one, I'm definitely sticking with him. He's super easy to talk to and have pleasant conversations with. Very friendly. Does a great job with his work as a Dr and will work with you and what you need for your health. The short wait to get into see him is 100% worth it for a good doc like him.

Dr. Barthel is the most compassionate and knowledgeable Endocrinologist I've met in his field. He took the time to listen to my concerns and fears and acknowledged their importance to me. He is honest and not once did I feel I was "just a dollar sign" to him. He is way better than the Dartmouth endocrinology department and University Hospital here in the KC area is blessed to have him. He's a keeper! Sincerely, Jen

I drive 4+ hours round trip to go see Dr. Barthel. Which should say a lot. It is worth every minute to me. He has a great office manner, will answer all your questions and nothing is rushed. Regarding my diabetes, he has changed my life and I am where I never thought I would be. I don't recommend people lightly, but Dr. Barthel I would recommend highly.

I have a major fear of doctors after years of poor treatment and misdiagnoses, but Dr. Barthel has been amazing. He’s really listens to questions and concerns and is very thorough with his explanations, and is understanding and kind. In my 32 years of life probably the best experience I’ve had with a doctor.
