Very professional and great staff.

At the age of 73 after bilateral ankle knee hip and back surgeries I have a lot of pain. Dr. Ackermans treatments have helped a lot.

I was on opiates for years until I switched Doctors. Dr Ack fixed in 3 months what another pain doctor couldnt in years. Dr Raza Jafri is a drug dealer. I decided I wanted a real life. Would rather be in pain and got more than I asked for. Im pain free almost everyday and manage my pain with other techniques I discussed with the Dr as an alternative to pain meds. My life is completely different because I made the choice to change doctors. You should be allowed to do that. The office almost would not see me. Its not up to them who I choose as my doctor. 2 pain docs in my entire life is not switching around doctors.. terrible office staff great doctors nurses and techs. Most will treat you suspiciously but I had good reason and was not. I was treated with respect. Unlike when Washington Muro told me I was faking 2 herniated discs. In jail now I think. So the only person in medical field that hasnt treated me like a drug addict was Ackerman. 3 years 0 treatment. 0 meds.

I initially went to Dr. Ackerman because he had good reviews. I was diagnosed with a herniated disk. I am on disability and have a VERY limited income and told the doctor so. Dr. Ackerman prescribed a pain block shot which had me excited to not be in pain anymore. Thats where my excitement ends. I was told that I needed 300 UP FRONT and that wasnt including what the Dr. would charge me. He also suggested I go to the ER when the pain got too great because he couldnt get me in FOR WEEKS. Which I did. That was a another charge I cant afford and was not helped AT ALL. I wound up playing phone tag with Rhonda and when I left another number for them to contact me they ignored it. He only cares about covering his own backside and NOT about helping his patients. VERY disappointed that I STILL have to be in pain and have to continue the hunt for a Dr. that wants to help. Im not holding my breath. I do NOT recommend this Dr.

I found Dr Ackerman to be thorough helpful and a really good listener. He has some excellent ideas to help me battle my pain. In addition he is just a really nice Dr. who is very approachable. I will definitely recommend him to others. I recently told my primary care physician about him and I think she will recommend him to her patients in need.

Highly recommend Dr. Ackerman he and his staff were great very kind and caring he went above and beyond to help get me in to get pain relief.

I will give Dr Ackerman credit for his bedside manner. I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted at the end of March 2019. I had to have it replaced by a neurosurgeon 7 months later. The neurosurgeon straight up said “ he put it in the wrong place”. The scs bulged out of my back 3 of the 4 leads were not even working there wasnt an offer of PT and he never once even looked at the incision’s to see how they were healing. Dr Ackerman may do okay with prescribing pain meds but as far as surgery goes stick with a neurosurgeon

Excellent and Impressive Physician

Dr. Joel Ackerman was the doctor I saw this morning 9519. Although I was referred to him by a friend whom I trust you just never know exactly what personality or character you will be presented with. Im happy no overjoyed to shout out to KC that this man is one AMAZING doctor being extremely kind empathetic and an obvious genuine soul. Not only did Dr. Ackerman take the time to listen diagnose explain and then conjure up an action plan and do so immediately his ‘presence’ was just that of a breath of fresh air. Humanistic air. I feel so relieved that I finally have a doctor that is on board with helping me feel better and understand the cycle of what’s going on exactly. Kudos to this man. I would recommend him to ANYONE. Thank you Dr.
