Getting Rx refills is like pulling teeth every month. My pharmacy sends the request and then I follow up directly on the portal. No answer to me or the pharmacy. The lack of communication along with no response for days is dangerous for patients who cannot run out of critical medication without serious health risks.

Please take the time to read this review if you’re seeking a job as a housekeeper here! 0 Stars – Hostile, Uncaring, and Deeply Disappointing Work Environment I strongly advise against seeking employment in the Environmental Services (Housekeeping) department at Saint Luke’s. My time there was marked by persistent harassment, emotional distress, and a total lack of support or recognition from leadership. I experienced ongoing sual harassment—by Leron Johnson, who at one point had to be physically held back from me by totia wedlow In front of Dan volz. Despite the seriousness of this incident, no action was taken. Even after I spoke to HR I left both a voicemail and email regarding my complaint, and I have still never received any response. After reaching out to HR, my department leadership began to completely ignore me, isolating me further. There was another incident where I stood up for myself— by telling Johnny Carey ( another manager)not to touch me and the next day I was the one who faced disciplinary action In addition to that, I was bullied and harassed by Dan Volz and Corey Crook, with Corey frequently antagonizing me in front of others, often before or after the afternoon meetings. I was constantly ridiculed for following protocols taught by trainers, yet I was the only one singled out for daily corrective talks. Totia Wedlow added to the toxicity through regular gossip and negative behavior to the point where she admitted to my face that she as a coordinator does talk bad about employees. To make matters worse, during a major snowstorm in January I stayed at the hospital for nearly 72 hours straight along with a small group of about five other employees. I worked the day shift in addition to my regular shift, without complaint. We were offered no assistance for food except what we could pay for ourselves or charge to our badges. We were provided with only plastic cots to sleep on, despite the fact that there were plenty of empty rooms available. After all that hard work and sacrifice, we received no thanks, no recognition, not even a simple cafeteria gift card or verbal acknowledgment. It was as if it never happened. Working in this environment triggered anxiety and depression that I had previously managed. I was repeatedly let down by a system that seemed to value compliance over compassion, and silence over accountability. To the point where I had a break down and quit mid shift ! I’m not sharing this review to be spiteful or to damage reputations. I’m sharing it to warn others who are seeking meaningful employment—people who want to work hard, be treated with respect, and make a difference. This was by far the most disappointing and harmful job experience I’ve ever had, and I would not recommend this workplace to anyone who values their time, energy, or sanity. Saint Luke's was Merciful towards me when other Near Hospitals where not because right now I'm Homeless sleeping in the Park Orphaned. Everyone was Great and got me back on my Needed Medications God Bless this Organization. and for not treating me Bad because I'm of the Poor Non Affluent. My husband received a heart transplant through them 19 years ago, & is doing great. Never had any rejection. Thanks to God, the family of Zeke Kenworthy, Dr. Andrew Kao, Dr. Tracy Stevens, & the entire transplant team

Doctor is amazing. Team seems pretty good. But the lack of communication in regards to med refills is horrible. Another weekend I'm going to be without my medicine (that I requested 3 days ago via the portal) because no one responds to messages or acknowledges anything you request from them it's a shame

Very nice people. I had a panic attack and I most likely have an anxiety disorder but they let me go home and it was during corona in 2020 so we couldn’t even go outside and I couldn’t have my dog so yeah. In and out in about 24-48 hours. Met some cool people there with other stuff.

Best place for care I’ve ever received for any mental, psychological, or psychiatric related issues.

My son’s girlfriend was in an auto accident. Three vehicles involved. She was the middle vehicle. She presented to Saint Luke’s South in OP. They put her in a cervical collar and let her sit in the ED for 5 before she was ever seen or had imaging done. I am well aware of staffing issues and all the patients in the ED but when there were only 2 people waiting in the ED. I am writing this at 1858 pm and she is still there. This is THE poorest care ever. As a CCU/Trauma nurse this is deplorable care. You can and should do better.

Being a home town employer St Luke’s should have better treatment of potential applicants. They discriminate against people over 40. I would not recommend that any professional even consider or apply with St Luke’s system. They prefer new grads that they can pay peanuts for. Save precious your time and go elsewhere in KC as a healthcare professional for employment. As they are now involved in several age discrimination cases.

I Would like to take this opportunity to give a big thankyou to all the wonderful staff at Saint Luke's East Hospital, for their skills and professionalism with the excellent care I received. There are so many people that I would love to mention but sadly I would run out of space. So with that being said, thank you again Saint Luke's Hospital.
