After giving birth, I was moved into the postpartum rooms. The first room had NO heat coming no matter how high you change the temperature of the room. Nurse gave me a warm blanket but that only kept me warm for the moment. It was so cold for me and baby and my husband. So we told the nurse and they switched us to the room next door. And yet again, no Heat! I was in the cold all day and night. I had gotten better from the cold before I came in and it got worse. The cold made my new born babys temp off so many times he had to be taken to be baked here and there in and out for the right temp before going home. The restroom had only warm water to use and not even hot enough to have a great shower. No toiletries was given so better make sure to pack everything like being at home. This was a sad stay ever from my experience. Came home with super cold was not what I intended. Otherwise nurse and staff was nice and friendly.
Provider medical error killed my husband. No Covid related illness, yet they left him to die alone because they couldn't be bothered to call me, of course until he had been medicated to death. Then Lisa, following Dr. King's medication orders, notified me that he had died with the same friendly tone as if she was telling me what he was having for breakfast. HCA Midwest Health hospitals and providers are some of the worst in the nation. Get my full report out in 2022. If possible, never leave your loved one alone at any hospital, much less Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri.
Doctors were friendly and helpful and they took very good care of me while in There care I was thanking the nurses for being so helpful and kind to me and if anyone needs to know that I would suggest you go to research medical center for all your needs thank you so much
The staff in the maternity part of the hospital all were very wonderful. From the nurse, Rachel & nurse Christine to Dr.Z & anesthesiologist Dr. Hutch all made me feel very safe and took great care of me while I was there.I had to have an emergency c-section and every single staff member was on top of it the whole entire time I was there! I appreciate them so much for this!!!
I'm not a patient at this facility, but my great-grandpa is currently staying there. Because I'm under 18, they won't let me visit him. You can only have one visitor at a time, but they should at least allow two visitors so an adult can accompany a minor. If he passes away and I didn't get to see him it's fully this hospital's fault. It's obvious he's not doing well and they should bend this ridiculous rule, not just for myself but for all others going through similar. I'm already going through so much with the whole situation, and now I can't even see him at all?
Good people
My grandmother has horrible ulcer on her leg, not only did they not treat it, but they discharged her with our dressing the wound so it was WIDE OPEN FOR ANY NEW BACTERIA TO GET IN. SHES 81!!!!! They wrapped her top calf which was NO WHERE NEAR THE ULCER. Sent her home with antibiotics and put the wrong information on her discharge papers about her having a finger fracture. Unprofessional nurses when me and daughter spoke on the phone about what was going, claiming they didn't see the reason why she was there. Please seek medical help else where this place shouldn't even be open.
I am here from South Carolina visiting my parents. I developed a wound infection from a recent surgery. I was anxious about presenting at a "new" hospital, "new" MD...and I knew I would need neurosurgery. I was feeling very stressed.I could not have asked for a more competent, more compassionate medical team. The Emergency Department??? Amazing. Dr Charles? Kaleigh? Thank you so much for your kindness, your professionalism, and your thoughtfulness. For getting a bed for me, so I didn't have to sleep on the gurney. Thank you to your entire team in the ED....thank you!! Thank you to the NeuroSurgery team.To the medical team on the 3rd floor: Desane, Monica, Yvonne, Taylor, Zoe, Heather, Nicole and especially Anthon; thank you, thank you, thank you for taking such good care of me. (Please forgive me if I missed anyone!) The compassion and kindness you shared with me will not be forgotten. To Ms. Danetta...I looked forward to your visit and kindness everyday. You have one of the hardest, and probably least appreciative jobs in the hospital. And you did it with a smile, and it was clear you took pride in your work. Thank you for showing a very anxious stranger, kindness.Thank you.
My husband was flown in by medevac helicopter with a hemorrhagic strokeUltimately passed away. This hospital is amazing. Everyone from the neuroscience ICU and the staff on 4 East, from Drs to Rn's to house keeping was absolutely wonderful. My husband was kept as comfortable and clean as possible. They respected our wishes. Someone would walk me to my car at night to make sure I was safe. Walk me down to the cafeteria and back to be sure I didn't get lost. We could not have been sent to a better hospital... Just wish there was a different outcome 😭
Had my heart valve replacement surgery done on 9/13/21 and they kept me there for a week because I had a bad heart rate my heart doctor is the best heart surgeon there and I had the best nurses day and night I what to thank you all for my care and I like to tell you I am back to my old self again feeling better each day

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
