My doctor had recently retired when I had a very serious injury to my leg. After returning from the hospital, I knew I needed follow up care from a doctor who truly would make sure my leg healed properly. I was fortunate in getting an appointment with Dr. Shaffer. He took the time to listen to my fears and concerns. He consulted plastic surgery and wound care at the hospital to make sure I had the best care by everyone involved if necessary. It has taken a long time for a very serious wound to heal, but I was thankful I had Dr. Shaffer there the entire time making sure I got the best care by him and other wound specialist. My mother had died years ago from gangrene so I was truly worried as this wound was so deep, but Dr. Shaffer listened to my concerns. He provided the best medical care I could have ever asked for. I knew I could trust him.
