Went in for a checkup. He was very interested in me, asked lots of questions, listened to me well, and developed a plan with my input. He practices what he preaches in how to care for your heart. Really keeps up on current cardiology developments. Really a good and kind manner in all respects. I am very pleased with Dr.O'Keefe.

Doctor O’Keefe truly loves what he does and it shows. He shows true concern, listens to you like a family member and is highly confident which makes me feel reassured. But he also takes your preferences and lifestyle into account and doesn’t give you by the book “black and white” advice.

Phillip Schelstrate in Kansas City, MO – May 01, 2017 - - gave a 1 star! WHAT!? I call Dr O'Keefe a 'Rock Star' Cardiologist. I taught Anatomy & Physiology. I'm also a nurse. Top sales as a Cardiologist rep for Merck. I know the heart very well. Dr James O'Keefe graduated from a top US Medical School - - Baylor and did all his fellowships at the Mayo Clinic. He has a dietician you can see any time as weight is very important to good health care. He always has the waist measured because the apple shape is detrimental to heart patients. He sees you approximately 4 times a year as it's important to get your lab results in and keep on top of them. He's amazing as he's so caring and very much of a coach for you to keep up with your exercise. He has over 600 patients on Repatha. The drug naturally melts the plaque of the heart arteries. Preventing future Bypass heart surgery. WOW! I feel very blessed to have him as my Cardiologist!!!

Dr. O'Keefe is outstanding--he takes his time, he listens, he truly cares--that is so apparent in every appointment I have had with him. He is one of the top Cardiologists in the country and works to find healthy and natural ways to stay heart healthy! I feel very fortunate he is in Kansas City!

He had little to no interest in my case. I have a 100% clogged artery, he had no idea, lied about my medication, and a spectator to my procedure. He's more interested in selling his crap and books than caring for patients. St Luke's should dump him
