List of Julie Elizabeth Busch's Reviews
I am very disappointed in my treatment today. JULIE BUSCH was highly disrespectful from the moment she walked in. She did not speak but instead scolded me about my mask. She forced me to move my mask up under my glasses or i would not be seen (my mask was sitting on the tip of my nose because i cant breathe with it pinched on my nose under my glasses). She also tried to guilt trip me with her personal information such as her husband's surgery and she didn't want to get him sick. Her attitude was horrible, when I told her I couldn't breathe with the mask pinched under my glasses she told me "yes you can!" (I have a past of breathing difficulties and she perscribes my inhalers so shes aware of this) So i had to heave and talk at the same time, eventually i took my inhaler. She also made me wait 2 weeks to fill out medical update paperwork (for sunlife) that took less than 5 mins to do in the room. And the outcome was me missing a pay period due to being on disability. She claims she doesn't remember our last visit when its CLEARLY on the chart. It was obvious she wanted to give me a hard time from the beginning. I have never experienced this type of disrespect and inconsideration with any doctor I've ever had. She had absolutely no compassion towards me or my situation. In the words of my 9 year old daughter "mommy why was she so mean?
4 years a patient here. High responsiveness to medical questions in patient portal or phone calls. Very easy to book appointments. Doctor seems to be efficient but, does not rush appointments. This doc seems to really take time to listen to patient. Office is run very efficiently. I have never had trouble when I've had a medical question or request to receive a quick response. I've never waited in the waiting room more than 5 minutes, and in the visit room never much longer. So far, very pleased with this doctor and the organization/efficiency of the medical office. All staff I've interacted with have great customer service. I have been very impressed and happy with my choice to go to this doctor's office. There was a med I asked if she could prescribe after losing another doctor, but she would not. That's okay, because I needed to go through the proper kind of provider for that. This office is always swift to refer you with where you need to go.
Of all the doctors I got referred to: it is a very very strange office
I chose Dr. Busch after getting my health insurance. First physical was pleasant but I would have to agree about the manner in which this office runs is beyond sub par. I contacted after having a profuse GI bleed to find out the direction to go for treatment. This was in late March of 2022. It's May of 2022 as I write this, and I have not received any follow up call, email, or message in My Mercy app. I have had to go to St. Clare 4 times to receive blood transfusions and get my treatment taken care of, no thanks to help from the PCP. I have changed PCPs since as I'm very disappointed in the way this office conducts their medical practice. (P. S. DON'T LEAVE A RESPONSE ASKING ME TO EMAIL SUPPORT. YOU HAVE FAILED ME AS A PATIENT AND SOMEONE WHO NEEDED HELP IN A DIRE TIME OF NEED.)
No concern about being connected to patients. No compassion and no thought of patients feelings or situations. They don't even answer their own phone calls, ran through a center, no way to get in touch with the actual office. They don't bother to call you when your about to be kicked out of their patient list. So basically punishing healthy people. My wife had been with them for 10+ years. My wife actually referred me to Dr Busch when were dating and I've been with them for close to 10 years if not more. But they still dropped my wife any way. Kelly directly told me they don't have time to call their patients about this. So here we are thinking Dr Busch is still my wife's primary and that she could help us but not the case. Its been too long since my wife need to visit the Dr so she got cancelled. Dr Busch has to take her back as a "new patient' again without any notification to us. And with no availability to take us in urgently, as we needed help now. We had a very unexpected, crucial and time sensitive situation and I 100% thought that Dr Busch could help solve our problems, we've trusted her for years, she's the 2nd Primary I've ever had and the only one since I moved to St Louis. My wife is crying and freaking out, the only thing that helped her calm down was that she knew, or I guess thought she knew, that Dr Busch was great, cared about us and would help us. My wife was shocked to learn that Dr Busch didn't even care enough about a 10+ year patient to give her a call that she might lose her status as a patient. But our long lasting relationship apparently didn't mean anything. It was only us that cared about relationship[ with Dr Busch not Dr Busch that cared about us. They made my wife feel small and insignificant, which I will not stand for! Nothing make a patient feel worse than hearing their Dr doesn't share the same connection with their patient that the patient has with their Dr. Even, though I called the 'call center' back twice, since you cannot reach the front desk, to try to find a work around or plan B (because Dr Busch's office didn't provide anything other than "sorry-bye"), they decided we still weren't worth their time and left us hanging. No body should treat anyone that way. And when an issue does arise you have to find a better way to handle it and try acting like you at least care in some manner. But It sounds like the are used to treating people this way as they had no problem pushing us aside. I know why they call us 'patients' and not customers, because that would imply they are there to just make $ of of us. But that's exactly how we felt today. We weren't bringing them enough business so we got the boot. And when we needed them, our trust was shattered and they didn't want us. Dr Busch had always been great, up front, honest and due that 'relationship' we thought we had with her, we were blown away that this happened, and we were treated this way.
Came in for wellness visit today. My husband and I are taking classes to foster. A physical is required along with being up to date on all your immunizations, the covid vaccine is not part of that requirement. She refused to fill out the form correctly stating that I had all of my shots until I received the COVID-19 vaccine. Went down to the second floor for my first covid vaccine showed proof and asked for my form to be updated. She refused again and said to come back after I've had my second covid vaccine. The covid-19 vaccine is not federally required or required by the state to foster or adopt. Last year when I requested she run my hormones for my PCOS she told me she didn't want to get involved and to speak to my OBGYN about it. During my visit today, explained my OB told me I was normal and not needed. Expressed my displeasure with any of my DR for not wanting to run the lab work, she told me she could do a standard bloodwork. Expressed wanting a full hormone panel, she then stated I could always look for a new OBGYN. Informed her I would be. Needless to say I don't feel like she cares at all about my health. Only willing to do the bare minimum.and willing to coerce someone into something they do not want to do when she had something to leverage.

Long story short, I am finding a new doctor.

A friend gave me Dr. Busch's name and I went in as a new patient last June. I did not find her to be friendly or personable and she did not take much time at all to learn about me as a patient. Many of the questions I usually get from a doctor as a new patient were not even asked. This is important for me because I have anxiety about certain things and I appreciate being understood by my care providers. I believe a patient’s history is important for their care. My last doctor spent a good deal of time just talking to me as a person as well as a patient at my first appointment which I appreciated a great deal, because that alone can make me more comfortable. This appointment felt rushed. It is also difficult to get an appointment. Yesterday, I returned for a follow-up and this visit was even worse than the first. When discussing shots, her whole demeanor reflected not compassion or concern but anger. Behind her mask and triple vaccination, she told me, behind my medical grade mask and sitting several feet away, that I was putting her and those in the (masked and vaccinated) office at risk. I was not sick. I have been in a number of medical settings over the past year and have never, ever been told this by any other medical professional, nor has anyone I know. Her intention was clearly to shame and intimidate me into compliance. In addition, when I described my anxiety with the blood pressure cuff, she laughed and told me it was funny. I don't find it funny at all. It is a source of stress and even embarrassment for me, made worse by uncaring, unpleasant providers like her. I left the office almost in tears. After the way I was made to feel today, I will not go back to this doctor nor will I recommend her to anyone. It is the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor of any kind. If you are a patient who is not on board with this kind of treatment, go elsewhere.
Dr Busch wants things her way. If she inherts a patient from a different doctor with a different line of thinking, she can and will yell, scream, demean, and do anything she wants to put a patient and other DOCTORS down if they don't see things they way she does, even when the "other" ways are OBVIOUSLY working. She is rude, unprofessional, and dishonest enough that she does not listen, ask questions, and even goes so far as to report other doctors to the board of healing arts without knowing what she is talking about. I would not even send a cat to her.
