Dr. Pead came into our room-first time meeting very annoyed about who knows. The 2nd time we talked to him that night he talked smack about his staff and how they "screw him" and leave him to do everything. If he has any knowledge in his ER capabilities that is great but the man should not EVER interact verbally with patients. I have never felt so hopeless from a provider. Ever. I don't believe he has a natural compassion for patients. Bad nights are expected but I do expect a little professionalism and an smidge of compassion. It's a gift I hope he can learn.
Dr. Pead is cold as ice. Bed side manner can literally save a life. He has zero ability for compassion. He's scary and I would never send anyone that would need to talk to him for any hope. COMPASSION Y'ALL, try and learn or fake it if you are going to be in patient care.
I recently fell in Branson when on vacation, which resulted in 12 facial sutures. I went to CoxHealth for medical treatment, and I was treated by Dr. Joshua Pead. After 6 hours of waiting, I went to check on the status of my discharge with the front office. I recently fell in Branson when on vacation, which resulted in 12 facial sutures. I went to CoxHealth for medical treatment, and I was treated by Dr. Joshua Pead. After 6 hours of waiting, I went to check on the status of my discharge with the front office. Dr. Pead came around the corner and proceeded to confront me with expletives and threats, and then he threw my discharge paperwork at me. This was one of the most horrific nights of my life, and Dr. Pead exacerbated the experience to the point where I genuinely felt helpless. Dr. Pead should NOT practice medicine.
Dr. Pead was very rude and disrespectful. My boyfriend had blood clots in his lungs and arms and Mr. Pead told him he just pulled a muscle and that his treatment was to put a pressure wrap on it. He constantly called him "man" And "bro" And refused to help with the pain my boyfriend was in.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
