List of Christina Jones's Reviews
I saw Dr Jones a handful of times. My medical records still showed me as diabetic 2 years after I was not. I also saw she gave me a diagnosis of depression. I came in during a stressful time and discussed it with her. I did not expect that. When questioned about the quick diagnosis all I could get was something about medical billing. Which last time I checked was not a condition in the DSM which is used for mental health diagnosis. I requested the diagnosis be removed if she couldn't tell me how she came to that conclusion in less than a 15 minute office visit. Long story short she ended up sending me a letter firing me as a patient and now I'm banned from Encompass Medical practice in its entirety. No one would ever respond to my phone calls to ask how that excelerated so quickly.

Dr. Bruner (now Jones) is kind and nearly makes ones feel heard but she falls short in looking at the whole picture. More than once, she prescribed medicine that was inappropriate for myself or my child(ren). I was attentive to prescription instructions and caught one and the other was plainly wrong -- prescribing an antibiotic when unnecessary. I think she knows her stuff and is capable of being a good doctor but I don't want the lack of attentiveness in prescribing to individual needs nor the recklessness with antibiotics. Ultimately, I first removed my kids from her care and then I lost confidence in her care of me.
I've been a patient of Dr. Bruners for close to 5 years. She always takes her time to find out what's really going on with me, and has always sent me for the testing I need to get to the root of the issue. She's a nice lady on top of that with a good heart
I really liked Dr Bruner until she completely missed my young onset parkinsons diagnosis for two years. The specialist at KU couldn't believe how she missed basic symptoms including a severe tremor in a 39 year old. She told me it was tennis elbow. I tried to educate her on the topic and she blatantly said she would do nothing differently. The KU Dr did the same, but all fell on deaf ears. Trust your gut, folks. I get drs make mistakes, but learn from them and move on. Do not stand defiant and say you would do it all the same again. She then went on to cry about her husband just been diagnosed with cancer. Um, I have empathy, but there is NO remission in PD. This diagnosis at age 40 is just as devastating as a cancer diagnosis...some may argue even more. This disease is progressive. I will die as a result of it. I had young kids, too. It is not right to dismiss your incompetence as a doctor because your husband is sick. If I blamed my PD for every mistake I made, I would be wrong. Compassion and acknowledging when you goofed goes a long way. Completely let me down. Be informed and trust your own instincts. I did not have tennis elbow by the way...I have Parkinsons.
Very rude staff, canceled multiple appointments, very poor communication. Do not recommend.
DR BRUNER IS A KIND, UNDERSTANDING, GENUINE PERSON. I TRUST HER . HER OFFICE STAFF ON THE OTHER HAND ARE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I WISH DR WOULD LEAVE THE ENCOMPASS GROUP.
Worst doctor visit I have had in my life. She was prompt as far as being on time for appnt. Had no clue why I was there. Never examined me. Once she realized why I was there she rushed to make a diagnosis and never examined me at all..should have with the reason for my visit. Never took a proper medical history. Very disappointed. She may be a nice person (from what I am told by staff) but cannot recommend her based on my experience. I wanted to like her.
She was excellent with our first time meeting! She treated me like a person not a number. I highly recommend her. Her staff was great as well. I'm very thankful to call her my new doctor.
Dr. Bruner is very nice and courteous. She actually listens to your concerns and is prompt in helping to relieve your pain. She and her staff were very helpful with my sciatic nerve problem.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
