I have been a patient of Dr. Amsterdam for around 17 years. She has always been patient, compassionate, willing to answer my questions, and always asks questions about my kids. I struggled with infertility. She patiently educated me about my options. She is such a wonderful doctor and person. I have referred several friends to her. She is wonderful.

I was a previous short-term patient of Rockhill. Dr. Amsterdam was on call doctor when I called after horrible symptoms from my first COVID shot. I have never experienced such rude, dismissive, snotty behavior from a "professional". Rockhill was a great practice but this doctor herself will bring it down. Just a tip: When you are a professional in the line of work that you are, it is your DUTY to care for all patients as if they are your own. The point of someone calling the on call line is because they are concerned or worried - it is not your job to make them feel worse. I was 13 weeks pregnant when I got my first vaccine and have previously miscarried so I was scared as was my Mother watching her pregnant daughter struggle. With this information given to you or NOT, you need to gain compassion. I have no clue how someone like this doctor is in the profession that she is. With this happening I had to make the switch from RWC thinking this could be the woman who delivers my 1st child.

I had a migrated iud removed. When i asked if i could retain the device (for legal concernes) she exclaimed "Why? So you can waive it around and show all of your friends". Now i'm a black female and i have learned that disrespect like this might be racially motivated. Either way, a so called DR. should never speak to another human being this way. Literally the whole room was shocked at her rediculousness. I haven't been back since and will go. Black women you deserve better!

I highly recommend Dr. Amsterdam! She's knowledgeable and very personable, efficient but doesn't make you feel rushed. Talking to her is as easy as sitting down with a friend. And because she does deliveries at St. Luke's, I only had to wait another 15-20 minutes while she ran downstairs to do a delivery.

This physician is the most unprofessional, disrespectful and dismissive physician I have ever experienced. I was forced to speak with her as she was the on call physician. After an hour when she finally returned my call she SCREAMED at me that the on call number is for emergencies only (not true), making sure I felt as though my health concern was ridiculous and a waste of her time. She lacks compassion and empathy and is clearly in the wrong profession.

She is the most impatient, hot headed and rude physician I have ever encountered. She screamed and I’m not exaggerating when I mean screamed at me for calling the on call phone number due to a medical concern I had regarding my pregnancy. Instead of focusing on my concerned she only used the time to reprimand me that the number was for EMERGENCIES only (not true). She made it clear she thought my concern was ridiculous and a waste of her time. She’s dismissive and just plain nasty. I was left shocked, confused, and upset. I did absolutely nothing wrong and was belittled and made to feel awful. She’s in the wrong profession. I do not recommend ever using her for any sort of care because at the end of the day to her patients don’t have feelings and are simply an annoyance.

Lisa Amsterdam is the Best obstetrician gynecologist I've ever came across. She's very understanding and listens to your concerns and gives you advice that gives you a choice without the feeling of being pressured. She has changed my life for the better

Dr. Amsterdam is a wonderful dr. She always listens to all of my concerns and answers all of my questions with such patience.
