Highly recommended! Had both knees replaced 8 weeks apart.

Dr. Hellman, & his team, did both my knee replacements, the first in one April 2022 & the second one, which I am still recuperating from, in Aug. He & his staff were both friendly & professional. They really listened the me & patiently answered all the questions I had about the surgeries. His PA Austin Christianson was also very helpful. They both took the time with me to help me understand the surgery, & it's risks, as well as, what to expect when recuperating. They are also very helpful if you have questions after your surgery. I emailed Dr. Hellman on a Friday with a no n urgent question on medication. I did not expect an answer back before Mon., but I had an answer back the next day (Sunday). Dr. Hellman is a very busy surgeon, yet he & his staff see to care about each of their patients. I have had very little pain & my PT says I am doing great with the PT. I would/& have recommended others to doc who may be thinking of any orthopedic surgery to help them with their problems.

I had hip issues for almost 2 years before I asked my doctor to look more into my pain I was having. We did some x rays. After his evaluation he referred me to Dr. Hellman at Rockhill Orthopedics. It has been 1 year since my hip replacement. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Hellman from the very first visit. He was very informative about my procedure on my hip. His staff was great throughout the process getting me prepared for my surgery. Everything went well, just as expected. I could not be more pleased with the my decision to use Dr. Hellman and the staff at Rockhill Orthopedics.

I am a 68 year old male that had a total knee replacement six months ago. I haven't felt this good in 7 years. I was very happy with the care and professionalism provided by Dr. Hellman and staff.

I am 68 years old and I haven't felt this good in 7 years! I had a knee replacement 6 months ago and I have virtually no pain. I am able to do activities I haven't done for the past 7 years! I am very happy with the care and professionalism Dr. Hellman and staff provided.

Dr. Hellman performed two total knee replacements and did an excellent job. My physical therapists told me that I (and all of Dr. Hellman’s patients) recovered better and faster than patients of other surgeons. He responds to questions via the St. Lukes patient portal within hours, even on the weekend. Excellent bedside manner. He is constantly looking for ways to improve his patients’ recovery — between the 2 surgeries he researched ways to reduce swelling post surgery. Immediately before the 2nd surgery he gave me two additional injections and the 2nd knee recovery went better even than the 1st. Could not recommend him more highly.

Dr Hellman was very caring and greatly concerned about my knee pain. Explained the options for surgery and recovery and stressed the urgency of doing the surgery as soon as possible to avoid more damage to the knee. I greatly appreciated his straight forwardness!
