Dr Burfeind and her caring, friendly staff have always taken good care of me, and she has helped me to manage my chronic back pain.

I took my family member to an appointment with this doctor for a second opinion. It was a follow up appointment because another doctor (Steven Charapata) in that same practice, had not worked out. Unfortunately, he didn’t possess the bedside manner or compassion that my family member needed and was looking for in a well-qualified, trusted doctor. We checked in at the front desk and then saw the nurse, which was a positive experience. The second Burfeind walks in, she already had a bitter look on her face. She immediately began using a stern, condescending tone of voice, and proceeded to defend the other doctor! She had a complete lack of understanding and compassion for the patients needs, no ability to listen, and little to no interaction with the patient to properly assess the patient’s medical needs! She instead spent nearly all the appointment time defending his every action(s), or lack there of. Rebecca Burfeind was not there to treat the patient that day. She was there to charge an office visit to insurance, and then show her loyalty to her business partner! Blatantly and viciously dismissing the medical needs of the patient! It was such a horrific experience for both my family member and me, we both were in tears by the time we left that doctors office. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND doctor Rebecca Burfeind to my worst enemy. If I was on my death bed, in agonizing and excruciating pain, and she was the last doctor on earth, I would prefer to die a slow, painful death than to ever let this spiteful, rude, incompetent woman lay her hands on me.

Was not taken serious, already made up her mind about my medical condition without any further testing. Her nurse was extremely rude. She canceled my appointment for injections and follow up saying my insurance didn’t cover the procedure. She had the wrong insurance. Told me to just take 4000mg of Tylenol a day. No thanks, don’t want to be on the liver transplant list. My PCP sent me there to manage my pain and she told me to go back to my PCP. Waste of time and money. Will never go back!!!!!!

I was referred to her for pain relief while I waited for bone surgery that had been approved based on MRI images. After a cursory, but painful exam, she declared that I was malingering and all I needed was OTC pain medications.

I've seen her several times shots in my upper back only one that I would trust always very polite and informative

Excellent! Dr. Burfeind and staff were very attentive and professional. I had the best of care from check in to recovery. Highly recommend!

Dr Burgeind is very caring and patient and takes time to explain all the procedures and when she's actually doing them she tells you exactly what she's doing when she's doing it. Like and trust her very much

I moved to KC in May & needed to find a new Pain Doctor. I chose Dr Rebecca & the Pain Clinic and I am very glad I did. Her staff is friendly, thorough & knowledgeable. We have a game plan for my chronic back pain, shoulder and I am optimistic for the future.

I have seen Dr.Butfeind twice now and felt like both time my issues are not being taken serious. Both times I had advised her of the same issue and what helped and didn’t help and she didn’t seem to care or want to listen to what medication helped, just wanted to put me on medication that I did not want to be on. She pretty much walked out of my last appointment before I was done asking questions and did not resolve any of my issues I went in for. I will not be returning

The manner in which she talks to you is very condescending. Didn't seem at all interested in offering any other treatment when what she did wasn't helping me. Very disappointed. Not a fan of being spoken to like I'm an idiot.
