List of Rediscover's Flory Center's Reviews
I've been a consumer for almost a year now and I have experienced every emotion known to man with the pandemic it made it very hard to get the help from the staff that I know they will give but our interaction became almost nonexistant and no matter what your trying to do it makes it very hard if face to face involvement is needed and it was, to truly get the best from these people but I was given everything to succeed ,I just must have needed to be present and it just wasn't possible. I waant to thank the staff at Rediscover for the TOP SHELF TREATMENT AND TRUE CARE AND CONCERN THAT THIS PLACE SHOWED THROUGHOUT THE PAST YEAR, YOU PUT UP WITH ME AND DIDNT PASS JUDGEMENT AND FOR THAT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT WILL FOREVER HAVE A PLACE IN MY HEART. THANK YOU VERY VERY VERY MUCH YOUR A 5 STAR BUSINESS IN MY BOOK
Walked in and was told nobody was there and was given a number to call for intakes. I was called and in the middle of taking my information the man on the phone interrupts and says they need to do something and says theyll call back in a few hours, which never happened. 3 days have passed and I still cannot get anyone to help me make an appointment or get psychiatric help. I'm at a loss for words.
Absolutely worthless when you need them. April Gardener should have no business being in charge of people’s psych meds. Twice now she has neglected to put in refills for my autistic husband’s crucial medications when we have called and even spoken to her nurse directly about needing the refills ASAP and they still hadn’t been sent to the pharmacy, despite the pharmacy reaching out to her as well.
Allow me to list my grievances.1. After waiting two weeks while in crisis for medical help, I was finally allowed a visit with a psychiatrist. No diagnosis was given and medication was doubled by my own accord. The psychiatrist "agreed" that I had made the right decision in doing so.2. I doubled my medication again without assistance from my psychiatrist, who once again did nothing more than agree that I had made the right decision during a phone call and fill a prescription.3. After telling them about my desperate financial situation I was given a form to attempt to qualify me for cheaper service. I was denied after telling them I had made a grand total of $4,800 this year.4. I received a bill a few days ago at a previous address for $210 for a single appointment. I've since found another psychiatrist, Dr. Uddin with Kansas City Psychiatrist, who charges less despite being a private practice.5. The institution has not attempted to contact me about paying my bill beyond the single letter previously mentioned.Psychiatry is expensive, and I've once again been let down at my expense. The bureaucratic failures of these soulless people are a nice summary of the difficulties with our mental health system, and while I don't blame any individual in particular, I remain disappointed by their lack of any quality service. I only hope that they will extend the time available to pay my bill.
Therapist and psychologists were amazing. The front office is my problem. I work a lot and I need services done on Monday, they denied me of that service even though they’re open that day. I’m done dealing with rediscover, I just want help yet their LACK of actual care for their patients really got to me.
I love my psychiatrist but I wish she was my therapist instead. I love talking to her but she hasn't been super helpful when it comes to finding me a proper diagnosis. 4 years ago I started having hallucinations and night terrors... she brushed them off as if they were normal and that it was my ptsd and anxiety but I knew that wasn't true. I asked to go to the mental hospital and switched my meds which helped but I started showing signs of bipolar a little afterwards. When it got really bad 2 years ago where I was screaming at people, hitting things, and running away she still insisted that it was just my ptsd anxiety and depression but once again I knew that wasn't true. I brought up bipolar and she insisted that she didn't think I had it but reluctantly changed my meds anyways. After she saw that my mental health had improved a substantial amount she was still reluctant to change my diagnosis to bipolar?? I havent seen her since that but I was seeing and therapist and she said she's not technically supposed to diagnose people but that she was sure I had BPD instead of bipolar but im too timid to bring that up to my psychiatrist bc of how I was put down after bringing up possible diagnoses in the past. Once again I love her and she's so sweet she's just not amazing at her job
Would give 0 stars if I could.
I’d love my opinion to change because my therapist is nice. I’m not sure if it’s the best therapy by any means that I’ve received but it’s sufficient for now if they can manage to call me back. I’ve called for about 3wks trying to get back in because my last phone appointment I had a severe migraine & needed to reschedule as a result. 3vm’s later, no calls back. It’s unfortunate how places like this show the rapid decline in mental health resources in America. I’m thankfully in a decent spot with my PTSD & other issues (more because with covid it’s easier to be less social & that’s the accepted norm currently lol). I can handle less therapy as a result but as soon as I can get disability sorted out I’ll be seeking better care so I can return back to work eventually because working through an array of physical & mental disabilities is possible with the right care, but I doubt anyone could make meaningful progress with the state of this business. They just don’t care enough or they’re the graduates who barely got their degree. Again. Not trying to be critical or inconsiderate in my word choice but this place has a long long way to go before it will ever make a difference for anyone in their care. I went here when I was a teenager & more than 15yrs later it’s still in a very poor condition to give adequate care. If this is funded by grants I think an effort needs to be made to cause that grant to disappear if no meaningful change occurs.
I owe my mental health to rediscover, take a family member here and have made several referrals as well.Too bad that Terry (in billing) could cost that for a lot of people. Can’t even ask a question without being cut off and spoken down to.Legitimately no longer want to continue care because of the interaction I had with this individual.
Other than Finding it hard To Reschedule Consistently, I think the people are Nice!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
